+1 - it's nice to see what's coming out and is why I'm subbed to this thread in the first place, but the lack of any reviews or broad leanings of opinion on Game X makes it hard to know whether to care or not. Like, one of the games was a weird hentai adjacent RPG and I'm like uhhh ... Ok? What do I do with this information lol

    Nobody knows. :p

Thalamus Digital have just submitted their first game to Nintendo.
Anyone who had a C64 will remember Thalamus (Creatures, Delta, Sanxion, Retrograde, Hawkeye, Quedex, Summer Camp, Hunters Moon and more...)

They published Hunters Moon Remastered in the last few years, and an original game called Cecconoid a few months ago , so my money is on one of those.

Yeah - they also just tweeted it about an hour ago: https://twitter.com/thalamusdigital/status/1280119068083838976

I remember Creatures on the C64. I loved that game. Didn't get very far in it. Pain in the @R$€; reloading from the start.

Creatures was a masterpiece at the time. I remember you could get unlimited lives by waggling the joystick when the credits rolled at the start. Still a very difficult game even with infinite lives but the torture screens were a thing of beauty.

If they remade Creatures/Creatures 2 or made a new game I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I found it difficult too, but I was very young.

There's still just no way I can see this coming out this year. Though I do think BOTW was finished long before it eventually released.

The guy who did Link's voice over is done. Consisted of mountain climbing grunts and humming while cooking. 5 mins. Job done. :):)

I played it recently. Its still very difficult. All of those platformers were. Cuphead reminded me of that.

Here's how Link's voice acting recording session for BOTW2 would have gone down. It was probably even quicker, as most of it will be reused from the first game.

We played them in an Arcade and Retro beers, you know those get togethers that you all are invited to but never actually go.
    They were great fun.
    Also, cruel as heck!

Well, the WiiU version was completed, the delay was prepping the Switch version, as I seem to remember you mentioning on occasion.
Also, they had to strip the specific WiiU functionality out of the WiiU version, which was a great pity.

Neversong will be releasing in the West on Switch. Up until a number of days ago, Japan was the only confirmed region getting it.

Though not a Switch specific trailer, it should look the same.

It'll release on the 16th July, it's 3.1GB in size and will be €14.49. The Nintendo site has a few screenshots as well. This was formerly a decade old flash game called Coma, that’s developed into Neversong.

If I'm finding it this hard to watch the trailer, I can't imagine playing it.

It's a striking art style but my brain / eyes need colour, something to differentiate the information. It's too harsh to look at for very long

Some footage of Bloostained: Curse of the Moon 2 from Inti Creates Live. It starts at 14:24 and continues until 44:46. It's looking very promising.

Curse of the Moon was better (IMO) than Ritual of the Night in the end, so I'm glad they're following up in that style. This sequel looks great!

Reviews for Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise (Switch) are now live. Seems very meh to me from trailers and that's what it's getting overall in scores. 56% from 25 reviews so far.

DEADLY PREMONITION 2 DEVELOPERS REPORTEDLY HAVE "NO PLANS" TO FIX THE POOR FRAMERATE
What you see is what you get.

When I was looking at reviews, I saw that Jim Sterling, who is mentioned here, has an impressions video for the game. I can only imagine what he had to say about it in his usual colourful manner. I'll watch it later.

    I'll see if there's a Youtube feed.

If they're coming physically, then surely they'll be on the Switch eShop as well. And I think then, Switch will be home to every Shantae game, I could be mistaken, but I don't think so.

I don't see it mentioned on the eShops anywhere. Maybe Nintendo caught wind of it and it's been quietly retracted.

FFS, WTF? Come on. How on earth was that worth sharing, is the Switch that starved of new games? Garbage unity asset flip, with some shock factor?

Of course it's worth sharing. It possibly shows just what Nintendo will let on the eShop or what nearly slipped through the net. I think it's junk, but I post the good and the bad. And if it's real, it'll probably get a lot more headlines. If it was coming out on the 13th July as the article says, then it should have been in this week's European downloads press release. It should be on the eShop too. I'd say someone nabbed it in the nick of time.
