Xiaomi app hasn't worked for me in a long time. Just says the device is offline, no maps or records of what has been cleaned, maintenance, etc.

Have you tried the roborock app, not sure what machine you have though.?

Works fine here. Try to reinstall /update the app.

I bought the correct power supply from Amazon, it was less than a tenner.

I've a box of power leads that I use the whole time, it's amazing the amount of them you'll collect down through the years, especially if you know people who are helping people install stuff like Sky or broadband, the 8 lead is the most valuable thing that you'll get, followed by a short patch lead, kids shoe box will hold loads. Oh yeah if you are doing a warranty repair on anything, hold onto the lead and just send back the box, that's all they want anyway and they'll usually send you a new cable as well.

Back on topic a bit, we've the Roborock S5, it's brilliant, when we're heading out set it off and it'll do the job, if 1 of us is home alone we'll set it off, then add the mop and do the floors as well, rarely enough that happens. We got a Dyson V11 recently, Mrs. Clareman rates the S5 miles ahead of it, or how she puts it "the Dyson is handy for picking up small spills by the Roborock will do the house", if she had to get rid of 1 of them it'd be the Dyson but thinks that you'll always need a proper vacuum to go along with the Roborock but at a brush and pan will cover you if needed.

Mrs. Clareman is a clean freak by the way

Ya it's unreal, only used it a few times so far. I need to play around with it more. My house has 3 different levels so I need to figure out how to map the 3 levels. I picked up the roborock and put it down into a lower part of the house but it confused it, it still thought it was in the area from where it left the dock. The amount of dust etc picks up is unreal. I used it in the max setting, didn't do the mop yet must try that too. I'm well impressed anyway.

Don't get too worried about the map, it'll figure it out itself, unless you have a no-go area just pick it up and move it, set it off, then repeat

What's the equivalent of the roborock without mop, or can someone recommend for mixed floor use, tiles, timber and carpet.

    Roborock S4
All the same features as the S5 and S6 without the mop.
But having the mop is handy

I don't have the max, just the regular S5 and it's a godsend, it's amazing how much dust it picks up but don't think it'll replace all your vacuums, you'll still need another for spot cleaning or the stairs of the car and stuff

Same, couldn't live without it after 2 weeks with it. Fantastic bit of kit.

I got my S5 Max this morning. Great little machine :)

After setting this up with the Mi Home app and found there is no integration with Google assistant. I changed to the Roborock app and it works now. Only issue I can see after the initial mapping of my home is the lack of ability to specify which room that I want to clean. Can they be named at all ?

Open the Roborock app, select the S5 Max. Then click,
    Edit map
    My Map
    Turn on map saving(beta)
Then you can map the room
After that, you have the option to select/separate rooms and a few other things

There's only the option to merge and divide the rooms. Nothing else.

Once it's completed mapping, you should be able to click Room on the main status page and then select the area you want and if you want it cleaned once, twice or three times.

Check that the latest firmwares are installed as well. It integrates perfectly into the Google eco system I found, the biggest hassle we had was agreeing on a name for it, strangely enough ours shares it's name with my mother in law....

I'm hovering over eGlobal as well. Website isn't the most transparent. If i search by product name, I seem to get slightly different variations and prices returned each time.

Black Roborock S5 Max - EU version in EU Warehouse for €337.24

    Or

Same model it seems - EU version (but no mention of warehouse!) for €341.99

and I'm sure I found another version which didn't mention either the warehouse or the version for a different price!

    Go with whatever is cheapest!

The cheapest was the mysterious option which was under 330. But I thought I could be ordering something which would take 6 months to deliver via a slow boat down the Yangtze river. And now I can't find it again and can't be bothered going through history.

I've gone with the €337 version in hope that I might see it this month. :)

Don't order from Eglobal Unless you could see
"Item dispatch in 24 working hours" .
