I had nothing in particular in mind until now. We will be more mindful about where our money goes. We are going to make a conscious effort to spend in family businesses, and leave behind our ways of buying everything we need in one place.

It might be a bit of an unusual resolution, but it's our goal.

I think I might stop playing the Lotto.

It's the only thing that gives me any hope in life but I think I'd be much happier if I just gave up and accepted my fate and stopped dreaming about a financial windfall that is never going to happen.

You would KICK yourself if your usual numbers come up in a draw :pac:

Well, according to my CV, my one flaw might be that I can be a little bit too much of a perfectionist, so I might resolve to address that.

I don't believe you, nobody puts their flaws on their CV.

Its how you're always advised to answer that question "any weaknesses? " in an interview.

A genuine new year's resolution would be to tidy / clean / dust my living quarters more frequently.

I was gonna make a resolution to procrastinate less, but I'll do it tomorrow.

If I want to grow old disgracefully, I need to get started sooner or later.

I made 2 last year, 1 was to stop putting food in my handbag and the other was to write letters to friends I hadn't seen in a while like we used to before email and text.
The handbag one I stuck to apart from the odd bit of fruit but I never got round to the letters. Think I'll do that this year. I'd love to receive a letter in the post that isn't a bill or some other kind of arseache.

    1. Clean/tidy my room. Still haven't done this.

    2. Start diet. Started this morning. It's going good. I haven't ate sweets/chocolate/bread all day. I have a shopping list and meal plan made out for the week. I walked the town yesterday looking for some fitness gear. I should now walk the town in my fitness gear, I still haven't done this. But I intend on getting out this evening.

    3. Start to save for a good holiday or something. Started this on Friday last.

I'm not really one for New Years resolutions but I'm going to make a few this year, mainly to get myself on track and focused. So.......
    Lose a stone
Run my first 10k in March and keep going at the runs
    Read a book a week
Be kinder to myself, I'm my own worst critic and give myself an awful hard time
Look after all manners of my health and wellbeing, from mental health to eating healthier to hair and skincare
    Learn to love myself
    Save money
    Be a better person

ETA, Find a rich, young, single man!

I'm going to be more wary of taking on stressful jobs, and I'm going to start learning another language - probably Spanish.

Be more mindful of what I have the power to change and put more effort into those, such as health and work, but have a realistic balance between the two. Not to treat being single as a personal failure. Plan time off and enjoy it. Don't confuse stress with productivity.

Had a plan to try get through 50 books last year and managed a grand total of 4 and a bit. My 7 year old managed 20 in the last few months of the year.

    Good day today.

    I half cleaned/tidied my room.

I didn't overeat or ate shyte food. Made my lunch for the week ahead where I know what's in it. I had a 30 minute walk as well. I may have also burned some calories while cleaning my room.

I got 3 stars in a winning streak, so I'm hoping that might help with my savings. I'm feeling positive.

I'm gonna be a bit meaner this year. Unless someone has earned my trust, they are not getting the benefit of the doubt from me and I'm making less effort with people that I don't know well.

Over and just before Christmas, two newish "friends" let me down and one was quite two faced which was hurtful. Plus, I was out recently and kindly danced with an old man who asked me as I was passing the dance floor. I was just being nice and having a bit of craic and later some insane woman of about 40 who wasnt even with the man, approached me at the bar and started berating me and trying to make it sound like I was some kind of granda seducing Anna Nicole Smith ffs. I am still kicking myself that I didn't just tell her to go fcuk herself. Hopefully for her, she doesn't meet me in 2017!

Also eat right, exercise, read more etc.

I always walked for exercise but last year I started going to the gym as well 2 days a week and this year want to go more often.

It was tough at first but when the flabby arms and man tits started do disappear it's great encouragement to keep going.

I'm a bit late to the party at 42 but I guess it's never to late to start.

To eat less red meat and more fish. Reduce the amount of bread eaten.
Take better care of my body - eating less sugar, less alcohol, addressing the wonky bits and shaping up.
