It'll be RTE 1 for me, until m'man Jools gets goin.

Except for the Cork rowing lads on Graham Norton, don't wanna miss that.

Now, in a break from my normal traditional tipple of choice (as many cans of cheap beer as physically possible), I'll be experimenting this evening with home made mojitos. Got some mint leaves already, an' all.

    Happy New Year amigos!!

BBC2 NI, Across The Line at 30, 8.50pm. Used to be, still might be a music Show on BBCR Ulster. Number of Irish bands and musicians on it.

Jools Holland later on. No explanation needed.

Probably MOTD in between, or some of Graham Norton on BBC1.

Found a bottle of Amaretto Di Saronno in the back of the cupboard - ah yeah! :D

After Des Bishop, RTÉ Two are showing the feelgood romp 'In The Name Of The Father', followed by 'Airplane 2: The Sequel'!

    Schurely schome mischtake!

    That always make me laugh.

    "I'm an innocent man!"

Ha ha. Then why are you in jail?

Either watch Graham Norton live and tape (sky +) Alan Carr to watch afterwards or vice versa.

I just cannot take to Jools Holland. I have tried god knows how many years , but I just cannot abide the man.

If it weren't for Jools, though, this fine Scottish singer-songwriter probably wouldn't be where she is today... :):););)

Aye, That Across The Line programme is worth a look/tape. It has some nice clippage in it. I enjoyed it.

Welsh Megaman's UB40 is definitely in my Top 10 UB40s

I am pleased to report my UB40 are doing great since we dropped all the UB40 song and started doing Jeff Lynne's ELO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

UB confusing us with all this UB40 talk

The trouble with the Hootenanny! is that there's usually a few good performances but there's a lot of filler to sit through.

My Hootenanny! advice is to search through Youtube and make your own playlist of excellent Hootenanny! performances from previous years. If there's anything decent tonight you'll catch it at some point.

RTE milking every last drop out of the 1916 celebrations with the NYE show. I'll opt for Jools, if I last that long. Mrs. B and I are fighting off the flu.

Nearly missed it tbh. Only for I looked at the TV Listings, would not have known it was on. Freesat box is set to London, and would have missed it otherwise.

Your thread will derail like a train crash on top of another train crash, so to speak!

This thread will explode when RTE lights it's annual sparkler at midnight and Beeb puts on it's proper fireworks display.
