Evicting the drones

After no activity for the past 10 days or so, my hive erupted into activity in the little bit of sunshine we got today. I worked out that the workers were evicting the drones.

Is it a bit late for this behaviour or is it normal??

Have often seen drones while treating with oxalic in both strong and weak hives.
