My dd (14) lost her braces. Long story short came home Christmas Eve and didn't tell me till 11.30 pm, obviously thinking I wouldn't get mad because it was Christmas. I am distraught over this, we got them through the HSE. Just wondering if they replace them. Has anyone been through this with the HSE? Do they charge the full amount if they are lost, just need to prepare myself before our app when they resume after Christmas. Any info at all would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Depends on the area , you will probably be expected to pay the laboratory fee. When they are open ring the Orthodontic clinic , let them know the appliance has been misplaced and take it from there.

Thanks so much for your reply, I'll ring the minute they are back.
