Rarely drink at home. Bought four beers last NYE and drank two. Just opened the other two with my brother. Best before date six months ago - tasted all right to me.

That said I am eying up the third of a bottle of Jameson in the wine rack. No idea where it came from, how long it's been there or who drank the other two thirds.

Just opened one. At €20 a slab why not?

The inlaws are over and they are raging alcoholics, so there is no drink in our house this year, trying to dry them out of here as soon as possible.

Santa won't be stopping at our house but so far today have watched home alone and some crap with whoopi Goldberg being Santa now about to watch despicable me. On my second cider and will be getting a Chinese about half 8. I'll be snoozing on the sofa by 10 to prepare myself for a savage dinner washed down with an aldi magnum of Prosecco tomorrow. Merry Christmas everyone!

Too manky here in North west to walk to pub so just cracked open 1st beer and trying to decide on solid, reliable fun film to watch again. Did Die hard last night...had forgotten how good it was !

Having a Zubrovka vodka I bought in Poland. I can't really have much more or Santa might be too drunk to come 😊

Post up a Google image or whatever of it, I brought back a few different bottles of that stuff a month ago I'd be interested to see what you think of it. Haven't opened them yet.

Dry Christmas this year.. :) should be interesting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,378 ✭✭✭mojesius

On my 4th beer now. Started on the drink at 530 watching Willy wonka. Haven't drank much all month but the next week i will be compensating for that. I've a wedding mid week so might as well plough through until some day after new year's

Just remembered I forgot to pick up tomoto juice and Tabasco for a bloody Mary in the morning. Red wine for breakfast so

Just opened a bottle of West Cork single malt - very impressed. I think there may be a few more glasses enjoyed before the night is out.

Going to open the wine my bloke got me as a present. It's definitely a night for some cosy drinks.

I fear your comment went over the heads of some. But don't worry, you're not alone, some of us have seen The Wire too.

As for drink, had a can, ( or was it two ?) earlier while some of the family were visiting. They are gone now, and I have to clear up :(
