    Hi all,

    Just looking for some advice/suggestions.

    I am 26 year old female, 5ft 5, currently weight 9st 2lb - lost 3 stone 5 pounds in the space of 12 months.

I am still left with quite a lot of belly fat. I am very interested in nutrition and feel I am eating a well balanced diet. I have gym membership and want to really get going on toning all this 'loose skin' - particularly targeting the core. Just wondering if anyone in the know could shed some advice as to what would the best exercises I could do or how I can go about writing my own programme to follow? I have tended this past year to just stick to cardio, but now I want to branch out into strength training and toning up!

    Would appreciate any help.

    Thanks.

    Great Progress so far.

No doubt the last bit is the hardest to lose. You have been in a deficit for a year, so maybe you are now having a much needed break at maintenance. Your body fights against being in a deficit.

I really like the videos from Mike Matthews, here is a relevant one, basically you need to get down to a certain body fat percentage and lift heavy weights (yes even as a woman).

Thank you so much, that is great advice.
The whole term Skinny Fat is quite applicable. I liked that video. Definitely going to put these suggestions into practice (after Christmas!). Appreciate it!

No problem, his videos are great. I'm pretty much in the same position as you. Lost loads but a bit to go yet.

Can barely move after christmas food so that may be another half a kg to shift now 😂
