Just order the Google MIni - Chalk for £34 off curry's.co.uk

Already have a Echo in the kitchen and a dot in the Bedroom. This will look nice in the living room.

Way nicer looking than the Echo DOT.

What are people using as their billing address with Currys.co.uk? Is it just the same as the PM/Parcel Wizard delivery address?

I used my PM address, just had to add the PMID to the Compnay name for it to work.

Just got email confirmation to say that my order is being processed

Perfect. Home Mini Ordered. I almost got one in the airport returning from the UK last week and regretted missing out; happy I've ordered one now.

Hows the sound quality of the Google Home?

In my front room i currently have an Echo Dot and Anker Bluetooth speaker which it may replace.

Pretty good, I suspect roughly the same or a little better (depends on which Anker speaker you have) then the above.

Haha no problem :D I'd say very similar sound. No guarantees of course. Basically the Ghome sounds like a good quality bluetooth speaker.

Of course instead you could get a mini and CCA to hook up to that, if you wanted to keep using it. But nice to simplify too.

Just a cautionary word of warning about ordering from Currys UK. I tried to order the Google Home last Aug to a PM address and they cancelled it. When I rang to enquire as to why it was cancelled, they said it was due to the PM address.

I ordered from Maplin in the end with no issues. I will be ordering 2 minis from Maplin now. Just an FYI in case some of your Curry's orders are cancelled.

Have had two delivered from Google direct to PM in the last few weeks. If I knew they would drop prices I would have held out and ordered with them. Free next day delivery to PM.

I had the same experience with Curry's when ordering my Google Home a few months back. Wouldn't post to PM address so canceled the order. Paid with Revolut too so took ages to get money back on card. Found Curry's incredibly unhelpful on the whole issue. Ended up going with Argos in the end.

No way to cancel the order online with Currys either which is a pain.
If I thought there could be a problem Id just cancel and order with Maplins.

Will have to see how it plays out now.

Ive gotten two emails from them so far. One to acknowledge the order and another one to say it is processing.

I got an order acknowledgement email first and then, the following day, I got a follow-up cancellation email:
Thank you for shopping with us. These items are unavailable for home delivery at this time. We have cancelled your order (CURXXXX) and no payment has been taken. We look forward to welcoming you back on line soon.

    Cancelled product(s):

The TP Link HS110 is on sale at Maplin for £26.99. Thinking of pulling the trigger on this, does anyone have them and would they recommend them?

Codes ECHO2PACK or ECHO3PACK at checkout subtract an additional £25 or £50 off a purchase of two or three together.

Two Amazon Echo (2nd gen) at £69.99 = 139.98 - £25=114.98 or £57.49 each. Can be combined with TP-Link offer too. Think this works with the echo dots as well. Didn't try that though.

They seem to have accepted my PM address - I've received confirmation emails - are they likely to cancel after that point?

Anecdotally it appears that they do accept orders using PM addresses and then cancel it on you later.

I preempted them and cancelled, ordering directly from Google who now have same price.
