Anyone here have the Canary Cam? Very tempting

Yup I have it. It works very well, though not integrated into any other home automation systems, IFTTT, Echo, etc.

Can you just open the app and see what's going on?

Awesome deals on Philips Hue gear here:

3 bulb colour starter kits for £90
    Hue sensor for £18

Thanks very much. Just placed an order on these and added extra bulb. Wifey will give me hard time when she will hear the news :D.

Do I need to buy dimmer switch as well or the app will do the trick?

I'm guessing £89.99 is the cheapest the Philips Hue White and Colour Ambiance started kit will go?

Got a Google Home recently and reckon these would go well with it in the new house. Problem is I'm not sure what light fittings are there as I don't have the keys and won't have them for a while.

Does anyone know if the B22 to E27 adaptors work with Hue?

Also, how do people find them as a system?

I'm debating whether to go once of the 2 below kits, opinions welcome

Yes they will. Both ways, Ikea have cheap ones that work fine.

Thats an amazing price, £30 per bulb (bulbs are usually £50), and a free bridge.

Hue is a great system, I've been using it for almost 4 years now,

any adaptor will work, but that price you see is available in both B22 & E27 starter kits.

    I used E27 - E14 adaptors for years without issue, as well as E27 - B22

Cheers lads, I'm guessing the colour ambiance pack with the 3 bulbs is the better deal so?

Anyone know if Amazon are still doing the 1 month free prime trial, couldn't find the link on the site there?

Just got two packs of the GU10 and two motion sensors using both my accounts.

Text herself and asked her to order one of each as well but "forgot" to tell her I ordered some as well :pac:

Just click on Join Prime, if you haven't had a free trial before, then it will automatically give you a free month trial. However note you need to cancel the trial before the month is up or it will automatically start charging you.

Thanks, just copped there that I've already had a trial on my account so I wasn't getting the offer. Logged in as the missus there and she's eligible.

Was looking at this to keep an eye on Junior in the living room while at home. Was going to get the Logitech but does the Cananry Cam offer option for voice etc. Not to pushed on integration with Alexa

Harmony Elite... Do I need it? TV, Sky, Soundbar, Alexa, Hue and Lifx in my house so far.

    I've the Logitech Circle too!

If the price is right, the circle is probably better for keeping an eye on Junior. The Canary is more of a security cam.

The circle app launches the live stream faster and it gives you 24 hours of recording for free compared to 12 hours of the Canary. It also gives you the cool day brief thing which is great for watching what the kids did at the end f the day.

Circle has a two way speaker (you can listen in and talk to them).

Yes, it is great, highly recommended at this price IMO. I have one.

    HS100 at £16.19.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01I3ZCBFK/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

I think this is good value, but not sure. Can anyone let me know what the going rate is? Thanks.

Just remembered I had a one4all card from work since last Christmas.
Just converted it to Amazon gift Cerys and now have a balance of £210!!

Free stuff for me!! Have used free trials of prime a couple of times but am tempted to pay for a month and buy the Canary and the Harmony Elite with hub.

Have a harmony touch already and am happy with it but tempted to switch to integrate with Alexa Hue etc.

Someone talk me out of it.

Looks like the Hue motion sensors deal is all gone? When I click on view deal it only brings me to a 3rd party seller at 32 quid.

    HS100 are usually €30

    HS110 are usually €35.

HS110 at £26.99. Meh value compared to just buying in Harvey Norman, unless you're buying a bundle of things already to offset the parcel motel cost.

We will need to start a HA Anonymous sub forum :D

And also a support sub forum for the partners of HA addicts! :D

Picked up the Philips Hue White and Colour Ambiance Wireless starter kit so looking forward to seeing how that works out with my Google Home. Was gonna get the motion sensor too but, as mentioned above, their gone now so saved me a few quid I guess.

Hopefully will be in new home by the time these drop in price again and then I can start adding to the lights, happy days.

    Thanks

Yeah - I bought a HS110 three weeks ago on amazon and it cost £29.99 - so the great discount is 3 quid!!

With parcel motel the HS100 will probably come out at about 24-25 euro. I suppose that's a 16% saving.

Cheers yeah and Canary does not have 2 way voice so think I will go with that bit of reduction with Prime so to purchase or not

I've added a Canary Cam to the haul... Bread and water for the month :(

Edit: it says on their website that there is two way voice coming soon.

Someone loan me €500 and don't tell the wife

    I want 9 x colour GU10s and 2 x nest cams.

This whole "consult first on purchases over €250" really came back to bite me in the ass.

Was looking at the Nest Cam for a baby monitor. I have the Belkin Wemo one, good camera but the app is an absolute disaster, constantly have to force close it and spits out random errors on my phone and could be working perfectly on another phone, hugely unreliable.

Anyone know if this functions just a baby monitor without the subscription, just need to log in and monitor and don't really need to record. Also, is the app reliable?
