    Hi,

I know the basics of a bench press.
Keeps elbows under hands during it
Arms about 45 degrees to body
    Shoulders back
    Core tight
    Arse on the bench
    Feet on the ground

My question is regarding where should the weight be on your feet

    1. On the ball of your feet
    2. On the heel

I know may be seen as fairly pedantic but just want to know where weight should be.

Its a personal preference for the most part - but general rule of thumb is wherever is comfortable and allows you to push through your feet without your hips rising off the bench.

If its for powerlifting purposes some federations only allow you to have your feet flat on the ground.

Thanks. I sometimes find when my weight gets heavy (relatively) that my feet kinda dance around when I try and out my heels in to the ground.
