Figured this would be handiest. For the discussion of all internationals today, including, but not limited to:

    14:00 - Italy v Tonga
    14:00 - Fiji v Japan
    14:30 - England v Argentina
    14:30 - Scotland v Georgia
    16:00 - Romania v Uruguay
    17:30 - Wales v South Africa
    20:00 - France v New Zealand

    Some teams:

My only prediction is a 3-3 draw in the Wales SA game. Put the house on it.

    Outstanding.
Australia should be well tired by the time we kick off with them so.

It'll be interesting to see what sort of resistance Georgia offer today, given all of their huffing and puffing for inclusion in the 6n.

Wales v SA are fighting for the "we're-not-in-quite-as-bad-a-situation-as-the-other-guy-is" trophy.

Reckon the weather will play a big part in the Scot/Georgia game. If it's a tight arm wrestle with poor handling and lots of setpieces I'd fancy Georgia to sneak it. Whereas good playing conditions could have Scotland running them ragged in the last 20 minutes.

Bad and all as Scotland generally have been in the last 20 years and whatever about their opposition being the next big thing, they simply shouldn't be losing to Georgia.

Italy v Tonga : can anyone make out what happened the Tongan lock? Seemed to take a dig in the back,. Went down holding his leg and stretchered off with a head injury?

    Try for Georgia.

scotlands 2nd rows must be invisible to this ref. both in the side of the maul and the ref ignores it. Georgia try

Right decision. What is Barnes doing talking about intent, obviously does not know the rules.

7-5 Scotland after a flukey try

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 431 ✭✭Vital Transformation

Not really convinced Seymour grounded that properly. Try awarded though.

The Seymour try was a bit dubious. The first camera angle was the best and they never went back to it :/

    Me neither

3 red cards last night and another already today.
Reckon we are going to see this trend continue now with the new directives about head high hits coming out.

Tmo really made a hames of that. Didn't try to find out if there was a grounding and who did it - the only things in question.

Why would a TMO keep asking for clips at full speed for something you can only see in slow-motion?

Looked like a Seymour knock-on to me, but hard to tell when they didn't focus on grounding at all.

    Baffling

Why wasn't that try looked at it in slow motion? They had one angle at a slowed speed and looked like there was no downward pressure. But that angle was then ignored.

Same as sextons tackle last week, video says no try yet TMO just says **** it gives them the try regardless.

Has the TMO decision making in general suddenly gone to ****e?

Ref given little option but red in the England game, it was a really badly timed challenge while in the air, in real time his landing was sickening

Penalty try Scotland, Georgians collapsing the maul on the line. Yc for no 4 Georgia

    14-5 now

If the refs are consistent then I think players and fans will understand it and the game will be much the better for it.

Thats the big issue, getting the consistency in application of the laws/directives.

Yellow for not retreating, second yellow for a dangerous tackle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Argentinian lad could have got a yellow in that situation. It's such a fine margin when it comes to the application of some of these laws now

  • Moderators, Business & Finance Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 51,690 Mod ✭✭✭✭Stheno

    21-8 now to the scots

He could, but it would have been really soft. Pen only imo

For a man who saw absolutely nothing last week, Ian Davies isn't shy about making calls from the touchline this week.
