Presently Mané, having had it on Sanchez. But Alexis might be at risk of being benched. No doubt I'll change it umpteen times before the deadline.

Aguero. I don't quite trust Firmino against a rejuvenated Sunderland.

Firmino. I don't quite trust Aguero against anybody these days.....:pac::pac::pac:

Will have a longer think about it - need to make 2-3 transfers as well to try to stop the rot

    Firmino. Sunderland still can't defend.

Reason says 'Pool mid. But since most captain obvious are bound to fail... It's either Aguero away (6 of his goals came away to a small team in the form of three braces) or Costa for his consistency (but tough game) or an attacker vs Hull (but who owns a WB attacker?).

Wouldn't Aguero be classed as an obvious choice given his status in the game?

Admittedly. But what I call obvious from my season analysis last year is the most popular choice, the outstanding one from the polls.

In fairness, my observation may very well not be applicable this GW where we'll probably end up with Coutinho, Firmino, Aguero & Sanchez sharing the votes (that's currently the case on FFS). In here though, the 'Pool mids are largely dominating the poll for now (and I only based my analsysis from our FSA polls last year - couldn't be a*sed checking back FFS one :p).

On one thread I'm questioning the worth of even having Aguero in my team, but here I'm saying I'm captaining him!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

Aguero looking like a differential now compared to CoutFirMane. Makes it a very interesting gameweek.

Have Coutinho, Firmino, Mane - could captain any of them.

Have it on Mane at the moment.

Last time I had this dilemma aguero had no form and a "tough " away game at WBA
    I captained Ibra
I'll be sticking with aguero this week barring champ league injury

Bah, I picked OTHER as I didn't see the combined Liverpool mids.

    Currently jumping Mane and Aguero

Fancy Hazard or Costa if I get him in, especially if Alder doesn't make it. Rose suspended and Davies injured so if Vertonghen covers LB that would leave Dier and Wimmer CB pairing. Could be another hiding if Chelsea play like they did against Everton.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,191 ✭✭✭✭Shanotheslayer

    Thinking Costa.

    Could be Aguero or Continho.

I don't know, what I do know is, whatever one I pick will be wrong the one.

    pick Costa so

    Firmino (C) Coutinho (VC)

Hope the game doesn't get cancelled for any reason ;)

You where on the money there even before kickoff
... Wimmer and Dier played CB while Vertoghen was rested and is expected to play LB vs Chelsea.
Monaco opened us up time and time again and only for heroics from Lloris they could have had 5 or 6.

Meanwhile Chelsea will have had 7 days of rest and preparation come kick off

Didn't realize it was the early sat ko
Don't think I will captain Kun now after all

    Burnley 0 utd 0, Burnley 0 Liverpool 1, Burnley 0 arsenal 1, Burnley 0 spurs 0, Burnley 1 city 0, Burnley 2 Liverpool 0, Burnley 0 arsenal 1. That's Burnley's last 7 games at home against what I'd class the top 6 teams. That's 3 goals conceded in 7 games.

Early ko after away European game too so he is a no go for me now
Sanchez so..........I just can't bring myself to captain coutinho . His inconsistency of years gone by has not been forgotten

I might go the Hazard route too due to the early City kick off and Aguero limping at end of that match

    Forgot about him

Plus they're at home with no midweek games and they've been scoring for fun at the bridge lately. Hmm food for thought

    On him now

    Have Coutinho & Mane.

Mane has been threatening to blow his socks off in recent weeks missing a hatful of high % chances & setting up a few no converted! This will be his week

After much deliberation I've decided it has to be a Liverpool player.

I had it on Kun without really thinking about it but if anybody is going to concede a bagful I think it will be Sunderland at Anfield.

All the reasons above point to a Chelsea captain this weekend. Not to mention Chelsea phenomenonal record vs spurs in the league over the last 15-20 years.

    However...

... this is spurs first return to the bridge since the infamous game last season were they imploded and lost the league so they'll be desperate to go back there for some sort of validation or revenge.

..also they were shocking mid week v Monaco and will want to make up for that...

...plus there's Kanes ridiculous scoring record of 17 in 16 London derbies

Have it on Costa at the moment. Afraid to chance Kun. Have Firmino but Liverpool mid seem to blank when Lallana is out

    Exact same for same reason

    Sturridge.

    Rooney

As per the injury thread, Aguero has a "problem in his foot." Time for a change, Firmino or Costa.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Cartman78

Have been dead set on Firmino all week but starting to think Mané might be the better option now.

Dunno why I've changed my mind really but am convinced I'll make the 100% wrong choice

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,925 ✭✭✭pudzey101

Coutinho . Not worth risking kun :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,191 ✭✭✭✭Shanotheslayer

    Costa it is! Coutinho VC

    Mino (c) Tinho (vc)

Think I'll stick with Hazard, although Firmino is tempting too.

Just took the armband off Aguero and stuck it on Coutinho

    hold me....

can t understand the lack of love for hazard
he is at home. he scores at home
he is playing spurs. he scores against spurs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,982 ✭✭✭Trimm Trabb

Had a little change of heart today, currently:

    Firmino (C) Mane (VC)

    Changed back.

If Sturridge starts think it will be better for Mane for some reason and obviously means Firmino won't be up front. Wish I had Sturridge too then this decision would be easier.

I have it on Sanchez but it doesn't seem to be a very popular pick in the poll.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,303 ✭✭✭Mike Ehrmantraut

Lots of viable options this week. Think gonna stick armband on Hazard
