Im currently trying to find how much money it would cost the government and consumer for Ireland to reach its target of 40% renewable electricity by 2020 (mainly by wind). Anyone know where I can get figures?

PS how much do the REFIT tariffs and the National Retrofit program cost the government?

    Hi Eoin,
You can find the Refit tarrif for wind online. This is the amount that wind gerators are paid.
Check out the system operator SEMO website to find information on electricity market rates. You should be able to find an average annual electricity price paid to generators.
The PSO makes up the difference between the REFIT and market rates. PSO doesn't cost the government aything. All consumers pay the PSO levy on their bill.
PM me if you need help
