2008 Passat SEL 170bhp TDI estate

    Leather electric sports seats
    Heated seats front and back
Dual zone air con that actually still works :)
    Heated windscreen
    Self dimming interior mirror
    Footwell lighting
    Rear tints
Multifunction steering wheel ( soon to be upgraded to Golf R32 flatbottom wheel with blue stitching )
    Cruise control
Front and back parking sensors with visual display on stereo
    Reversing camera with parking assistant
    Bluetooth connectivity
RNS510 Satnav with built in hard disk
Keyless entry and start ( unusual in a Passat of this model )
    Bi Xenon headlights
Adaptive headlights ( Beam bends with steering )
    Headlamp washers
    Auto headlights
    Auto wipers
LED Drls built into the fog lamps
Power tailgate and magic step to open it ( Best invention ever )
    17" Monte Carlo alloys
    Exterior chrome pack

All in all a fantastic spec for a Passat, the main dealers couldn't believe how well it was specced out and even ran into lots of problems when they tried to pair a new key to it ( They had never dealt with a keyless entry B6 passat before) It not often I really love a car but this is my daily driver and it gets at least 400-500 miles a week and never misses a beat. I have never seen another Passat as well specced out!!! The only thing I wish it did have is a DSG box.

As for the other car in the house: 2012 Passat B7 1.6 TDI Sportline

    Cloth sport seats
    17" alloys
    Exterior chrome pack
RNS310 Satnav with VW Multimedia dock in the glove box
    Dual zone air con
    Multi-function steering wheel
    Footwell lighting
    Rear tints
    Bluetooth connectivity
    Tyre pressure monitor
    Full colour MFD
    Cruise control
Front and back parking sensors with visual display on stereo
    Start stop
    Auto headlights
    Auto wipers
    Self dimming interior mirror
    Self dimming exterior mirrors

Another nicely specced out car and a pleasure to drive, even if a little less power than I'm used to with my own.. I have 4 upgrades planned for this car and they are:

Fit a light in the boot ( surprisingly there isn't one in the boot )
Fit an OEM reversing camera and control unit ( the one that flips out from behind the rear boot emblem )
Fit OEM park assist sensors and control unit ( car will be able to park itself, perfect for the woman in your life who cant park )
Change the seats to full leather heated sports seats.
I would love to fit the BiXenon headlamops and rear LED lamps to this but theyre a pain in the ass to get them working right so they wont be getting fitted anytime soon

    Paddy done good.

Like my 1995 C220 D, which is Classic spec (must be a taxi/Cavan special order):
    • Dipstick aerial
    • 3 handles for the keep fit windows and a vice grips for the 4th
    • No central locking... Or any form of locking for that matter
    • Barbel bootlid (no springs to keep open)
    • 2.2 non turbo weasel engine for taking off in tickover in 4th or bringing the revs from tickover to the redline in a flash

The 2000 C220 CDI is Elegance spec
    Elec windows all round
    Cabin pre heater
Ambiance light (alright alright, I robbed this from a W210)

Don't particularly want much toys in the car, it's comfy for long distance and keeps me warm, does me fine!

Grand though, the default spec list is actually pretty decent.

My car is pretty boggo out of the factory (2008 Focus 1.8 TDCI Style) but I did retrofit a few toys:

    - Android Headunit with steering wheel control connectivity (Google Maps is great :P)
    - Cruise control
    - Xenon projector headlights

I could probably live without the headunit if I was changing car but I'd be looking for something with cruise control and xenons after experiencing both. They are so handy to have in a daily driver :)

MKII Escort RS2000. Poverty spec. Biggest convenience is a cigarette lighter that is unused. Unassisted steering, servo brakes, windy windies, no clock, no radio. Lights are pretty awful too.

Fiesta ST2 has lots of decent kit, and the all important appearance pack too. I value a/c, heated windscreen, and infotainment system. Recaro seats are really good. The car is all about the drive however, so it's the chassis, engine, gearbox, brakes, and (firm) suspension that make it such a hoot.

Cruise control will most likely feature in any future car for me. It's one thing I do miss.

This is not in the 190e:

I have a 100v (not sure on amps) japanese domestic 2 pin power outlet, powered by an extra beefy regulated alternator.

It also has a throttle position controlled exhaust baffle/silencer (cable only remains now - stock exhaust is long gone)

Oh and a roof mounted automatic air purefier.
