    Would anyone use this site?
Currently in the Caribbean visiting family for a time. Would love to get into sailing but not enjoying the idea of forking over 1,000euros for a competent crew course 6 day I may not enjoy/use.
Findacrew.net seems like a cool way to start but they dont seems to have user feedback for the boats. Missed opportunity to sail the Caribbean for 30euro a day or dodging a bullet by not spending a few days (minimum) at sea with possible nut jobs?
Seen a few boats saying all new crew spend a couple of days on board before departure to get to know everyone see if its for them

Ok just realized feedback can be left, that more reassuring.

Findacrew has its pros and cons.  It's a great way to find crewing positions.  However, there are some real nut jobs on Findacrew looking to take advantage of novice sailors.  Try googling "Andre Beaulieu STNT" for an example.  The biggest problem with Findacrew is that they allow skippers to decide which reviews get posted about them, so there are never any negative reviews.  Findacrew does nothing to police its members or to delete the bad apples.
