    What's an 'international' version...?

Also, how do these things work exactly? Do you have to put a sim in them or something? Can you make (and take) calls on the watch without having to take the phone out of your pocket?

The 4g lte version that allows you to make and receive calls is not available in the UK or Ireland. I asked Samsung Ireland on Facebook.

Insert a SIM and works like a phone. But won't be released here. The Irish one works just like a blue tooth headset.. can pick up & hang up the call from the watch, has its own speaker and mike..

Thanks, apologies if this is a stupid question but won't a different sim mean a different phone number to your normal phone or is that a given?
I mean does that make the watch a complete stand alone phone rather than just an add on to your normal phone?

Thanks, so what functionality will the S3 that we'll see over here have that the S2 doesn't have...?

So do you think it's worth the extra money compared to the S2 (which have dropped in price) if those are he only differences in functionality...?

Had a look at both S3s in Dundrum yesterday and compared it to my 1st gen Moto 360 stainless and I'll be sticking with my 360.

I'm not a fan of it at all and the screen on the frontier looked pixelated.

They're a shambles alright, you'd think they'd pull out all the stops to have these things on the shelf for Christmas where they might have a chance of selling a few. A €400 gadget like this would be quite a discretionary spend for most people but at Christmas time common sense goes out the window. I'd consider pointing 'her indoors' towards getting me one of these for a Christmas present, but I won't be in any rush to pick one up in the new year unless I see an ad that they've plummeted in price but by then they're replacement will have already arrived on the market.

How does the 360 compete with the Samsungs functionality-wise...?

Picked up one today in the New York ended up having to get the at&t model. All best buys macys are all sold out. They are saying mid January before they see stock. Really impressed so far. It's a built in sim so I can't change it when I go back home but bluetooth works great. Only $350. 50 more than the Bluetooth. I got lucky because at&t aren't supposed to sell them without a plan. Went to 8 shops before I got a guy to agree to sell me one. :)

I can send messages through various apps, ask Google any questions, it counts my steps, tracks my walks, takes my heart rate, I control my Spotify, tune in radio, kodi, Samsung TV, Bose speakers.
The only thing missing for me is a speaker but I rather answering with my watch and speaking through my headphones than talking into my watch anyway.
I really don't see what the S3 adds that can justify it being more than twice the price.

I'll probably wait until the new year. Just wondering which on people are going for? I'm leaning towards the classic rather than the frontier think it has a cleaner look.

Got mine a couple of weeks ago via Best Buy in the States (came into stock and then sold out that morning but I got lucky and managed to get my hands on a Classic. My Sister was on holidays and picked it up from family over there).

While the strap that came with it is ok I've since got a brown strap and a black strap from Strap Studios made specifically for the S3 with quick release for easy swapping. Was initially looking at the Frontier but in the end made the jump for the Classic as I'm mostly office based. Really pleased with it so far.

Any differences in functionality or features between the S3 Classic and Frontier watches or is the difference only in the looks?

Why the we talking about this watch in the Android forum anyway?
Its not an Android Wear device instead using Samsung OS Tizen with its own app store.

But it's fully android compatible isn't it...?

It's as compatible with Android as a Pebble, Mi Fit or fit it or any other fitness tracker....
