    is their money to be made in keeping pigs, small holding of 11 acres and wondering if profitable and what pros and cons are

    There is no money to be made as you will be competing with large commercial operators. There are niche markets for free range pork via farmers markets, farm shops etc but you would have to develop your own brand and work hard at it.

    There is a well known cheese and free range pork company in West cork looking for people to raise free range pork for their products.it's a bit of a niche alright and not sure what profit margins would be like.

    ok cheeers, was thinking of special breeds and organic but if no money in it no point being at it
