Ooh Sunday night game looks good...

Otherwise slim pickings outside of the Giants-Eagles game.

[Cue best weekend of non-stop action so far this season]

I agree the raiders will be feeling frisky after the win in Tampa and it will be at home and the future MVP Derek Carr will do what he is doing best.

Ah ****e the eagles are on sky.

Steelers @ Ravens, possibly decisive game for the division.

Bye week came at a very good time for the Steelers. Wheaton, Gilbert, Heyward, De Angelo Williams, Shamarko Thomas and Ben all possibly back and Ladarius Green maybe available with Brown getting time to work off whatever he picked up against the Patriots as well as Sammie Coates' broken finger.

Falcons @ Buccaneers...500+ air yards to the Raiders, what will the Falcons do?
Lions @ Vikings.....Vikings to steady the ship against faltering Lions.
Eagles @ Giants....huge implications in tight division - Giants to eek out a win.
Jets @ Dolphins....loser leaves town match. Dolphins to control clock and win tight contest.
Jaguars @ Chiefs....No garbage time yards for Bortles and co. Chiefs in a blowout.
Cowboys @ Browns.....Classic trap game, and Browns have been a competitive 0-8 team, but straightforward Dallas win.
Steelers @ Ravens....Not quite up to the matchups we've been used to in recent years between the two, but still a lot at stake. Steelers ugly win.
Saints @ 49ers.....Saints resurgence to continue, win in a bit of a shootout...35-24
Panthers @ Rams....Rams to rattle Cam early and often and Panthers never find their feet. Rams in a low scoring affair 20-10
Colts @ Packers.....Rodgers v Luck should be great viewing, but the Colts have been squandering Luck and will lay down in Lambeau.
Titans @ Chargers ....the best 3-5 team in football to tighten the race in the West. Titans are on the up and up, but next year is their year.
Broncos @ Raiders....Could be game of the week, but both teams are ultimately flawed, but will take the Broncos to shut down Carr for one week at least.
Bills @ Seahawks ....Rollercoaster of a season for both teams so far this season, but the Seahawks will outclass the Bills here.

Excellent first drive for the Bucs, Winston is really impressing me this year.

Straight back from the Falcons, we got ourselves a shootout! Good to see an entertaining TNF for once.

A right shootout hopefully! The TNF games have been quite poor this year.

Condensed version of the game is up on gamepass lads.

Falcons look legit to me. Apart from the season opener, their losses have been against good teams in close games.

The offence is obviously brilliant; but their defence is not that bad. Particularly against the Pack and Broncos, they made plays in the final at key times.

They've been up there a couple of times over the last seven years or so but they always seem to fail when they meet the good teams.

Remember the NFCCG where they blew up against the 49ers, they had a big lead and let it go. They really did choke in that game because even after giving up the lead they had the chance to get back in front.

A couple of other times they have failed to perform in the playoffs. You could never trust them, even now, to give it a real go in the big games.

Interesting little play the from Fitzpatrick with the rugby pass 15 yards downfield after a scramble. He might not be a great qb, but he's aggressive as hell, you have to give him that.

it was an idiotic play by a sh1t qb!!
That was a perfectly called drive by Chan. Should have been 7 to Anderson, but Fitz missed and should have been 7 to Marshall, but Fitz missed. This is what you get with Fitz!!

Fcuking hell Wentz! What the hell?

i wouldn't want my qb doing it, but it's fun to watch. Fitzpatrick isn't the worst, he has been a starter for 6 teams after all!

right now I'd say he's one of the worst

Mike Wallace is loving that TD against the Steelers!

95 yards. Crazy speed to leave the safety for dust.

He'll either throw for 350 yards and 3tds now or 200 with 5 ints!

Matt Forte has not and will not score an easier TD than that one against the Dolphins. Someone completely blew their assignment there.

you could have drove a bus down it! penalties killing both defenses in the first quarter

Brutal throw from Stafford there - surely he knows if you take a sack and punt the Vikings offense is struggling. Instead, almost a pick 6 and great field position for Bradford.

ruining a perfectly good otherwise 3-and-out, interception/incomplete scoreless type game

Luckily the Vikings drove for minus 20 yards on the resultant drive.

Is there another coach in the league other than Todd fcuking Bowles that thinks having a DE covering a RB on a wheel route is a good idea? Terrible coaching

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,159 ✭✭✭mrkiscool2

Well those first 5 minutes from Wentz completely out of the memory now, really good play since the second TD for the Giants.

The Ravens indiscipline has gone beyond a joke now. Week after week of giving up ridiculous yardage through flags. Something has to be done.

193 ****ing yards in the first half alone.

I only see 59 yards? On another note, this Steelers offense was supposed to be one of the scariest in the league, 2 first downs in the first half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Flacco and Wallace hooked up for a 95 yard TD, but minus that the Ravens and Steelers have combined for 2/15 3rd down conversions, a combined 156 yards through the air and 48 on the ground for the first half. Yep, combined.

The Steelers have an excuse at least because Ben is clearly playing injured.

Baltimore should really be up about 3 scores with the amount of opportunities they have had but Flacco has continued his theme of being horrific so far this season.

You're correct, my mistake. No idea where I got that from. Must have been looking at a different stat at the time. :pac:

It says a lot when I didn't even flinch when seeing such a high figure. :pac:

Roethlisberger is definitely playing injured and the Ravens are just stacking the box against Bell as Ben can't even make short dump passes effectively.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,721 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

a putrid half from the Steelers, too many on the field for a Tucker field goal, then offside. More penalty yards than offense yards.

Constantly wanting Bell to run with it is not working.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Rothlisberger pass tipped by Williams, drops into the hands of Jernigan.

Ravens get the ball at the Steelers 32 and can't do a thing with it. Tucker makes the FG.

The amount of opportunities that Baltimore have thrown away here is infuriating. Just cannot get anything going on offense at all.

    Fcuking Ryan "one read" Fitzpatrick!

Savage interception from 300lb Jordan Phillips there for Miami. Love the way he hurdled a tackler after he picked the pass.

As a Vikings fan, I am now very worried.

you'd think Fitz would have noticed him just hanging around in the middle of the field

Blocked punt for the Ravens, returned for a TD, now up 21-0. :D

Rothlisberger is all over the place. He literally can't make 2 and 3 yard dump passes.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,721 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

what on earth was sean davis doing on the blocked punt...he actually got out of the way of the blocker...

Suddenly, Ben starts throwing it to AB and progress is made far too late. One play in the Ravens territory until then.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

Great kick, that went about 65.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,721 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

another long throw to Eli Rogers. He can do it, it's not that he's injured. So why on Earth have they ignored Rogers mostly and Brown and tried to run it...

    Random question:

If a team has 2 ties in a season, would that equate to 1 win and 1 loss?

So would a 10-6 record be equal to a 9-5-2 record?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,328 ✭✭✭the baby bull elephant

Some play by Tate, we really are the Cardiac Cats.
