Hard to know which devices to get now that we have Amazon, Google and Apple each with their own smart home ecosystem.

Any indications on which become the industry standard?

It's a bit of a gamble TBH . I'm looking at this as a layer of control on top of home AV rather than the centre it.

You still need a Philips hub.
If and when lightwaverf get on board you'll still need their hub.

Philips talk about "working with" systems, and that sounds about right at the moment.

The Samsung smartthings hub looks nice.

The home automation forum will be along soon and well all put our systems up.

For example TCP/IP went down a road a few years ago and it will be an interesting story .

So far these devices are complementing and enhancing hardware imo

I'll end up with at least two of the three.

At £50 those the dot is in the suck it and see territory
