Disappointing couple of days up here in the NW.

Certainly warm and muggy, but overcast and rain.

I hear it was splitting the rocks down the country.

Feels like it still is... mad hot tonight... and tomorrow is meant to be even hotter is it?

YR has rain forecast for 11am tomorrow. Hope they are wrong!! Smashing day here today. Very warm and a lovely drying breeze.

I find YR has gone to fcuk lately very unreliable

Ya, yr.no is often too optimistic, accuweather too pesimistic, weather-forecast I find to be reasonably accurate as far as potential rainfall to come. Simply put, met.ie is as good as any for the next 3 days, which is about as far as any of them can be accurate for.

In spite of the heat and breeze, I find heavier land still wet and, well, heavy. Slow to dry. Anyone else notice growth is mysteriously slow also? Topped a field 10 days ago and it hasn't much regrowth since.

After cooling and a few drops of rain here and there, hard to tell if it will stay dry

Had lovely soft rain overnight into this morning. Really muggy. But any day youre in your tee shirt in the rain is a good day for grass to grow

Heavy showers in Cavan earlier but cleared now, hazy sunshine and very humid, showing 23c on jeep.

Just after spraying a knapsack of weedkiller. Think I am going to collapse. 26 degrees on click in jeep. A 99 will sort me out.

Just had a heavy shower of rain in ncd. Thankfully the temp has dropped a little from 26 to 22.5. I don't sleep well in warm weather even with the windows open and ceiling fan on. Hopefully with the temperature due to drop over the next few days I will get back into my normal sleep pattern.

Not even mist here. Heavy cloud all day but not a drop of moisture. Heavier fog coming in now from the SW though.

Good drying day in the west, small drop of rain last night but nothing serious, plenty of menacing clouds overhead but they did'nt spill yet!

Looks like there won't be no shortage of rainfall for the next 2 weeks anyway.

Noticed a bit of a draw this evening when I was driving from Waterford to NCD - awfully dark at 8.30pm.

Heavy persistent drizzle here now and looking like it will be around for a good while.

If Carlsberg could do rain showers....
