Red Alert for county Clare! It was dead calm here half an hour ago. Gentle breeze now.
In the old days people would have set out to sea in conditions like these. Aren't the modern forecasts great?

Calm before the storm here in N. Tipp. Might be a good evening for Lahinch 8-13 foot.:D

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Milk collection late so I'll have to wait for the wash to finish first:(

Wind gone very wild here now, strong gusts and seems to be coming from a few directions at once.

You'll have to plant a few trees around you, it can get some strong winds around you there.

Just had the cows in the yard when the tank wash was finished, inside for the night now, power supply willing.

Some strong gusts while milking but seems to have eased a bit now.

    Stay safe, folks.

Just back from helping out with a running meet with the 6 to 13yr olds, we managed to get through all the races in 23mins, nothing like abit of pressure knowing the weather was closing in to hurry everything along ha.

Gusting above 70kmh already in Arklow which is a long way from Clare and Kerry

The wind is mad here in west cork. Some heavy showers too. The wind is worth its orange warning

Have a 30 ft hedge to get the wind from the mountain and hedging around the house. The previous owner was sensible.

Darwin was worse for me. I remember been in the yard tying things down and it suddenly turned violent. I had to run for the house. I’ll never forget it.

30 ft of ridge vent gone on my slatted house. 1 bay has made the ground and the other is lying upside down on the roof hanging by a bolt. Survived all the severe winds in the last 5 yrs and it goes tonight.
