The Ray D'Arcy Show this weekend is going to be very sporty.

Major golf star and championship winner Padraig Harrington will be chatting to Ray about competing at the very top in sport and what representing Ireland at the Rio Olympics meant to him.

The Happy Pear brothers Stephen and David Flynn will be fighting it out with presenter Lorraine Keane as they go head-to-head for another lip sync battle.

Also on show is Republic of Ireland sports star Stephen Hunt, All-Ireland winning hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald, ex-Cork camogie captain and fitness guru Anna Geary, and rugby commentator and presenter Alan Quinlan who will be talking about their roles as coaches on Ireland s Fittest Family and what viewers can expect.

Life-long campaigner Fr. Peter McVerry will be sharing his thoughts on Saturday night on what he needs to be done to combat the current homelessness crisis in Ireland. He will be joined by Laura Horan, a 20-year-old DCU student whose emotional video detailing her childhood experience of homelessness went viral earlier this week, will also be talking about homelessness on the show.

Tune into The Ray D'Arcy Show tomorrow night on RTE One at 9:50pm.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

Stephen Hunt and Daithi O'Shea must be in the reckoning for the "Person who's actually much younger than they look" award.

At least this year when the Kilkenny men lost the hurling final, the Kilkenny women won the camogie beating Cork.

Then, there's the meeja. We forgot about the meeja. They are out to get him too. As this very rigorous and difficult telly appearance is proving. Ray D'arcy, no better man to ask the tough questions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,770 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

I thought Ray was going to show us himself doing press ups.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

Ray does a bit of fitness.

That's like saying Joe Duffy is a bit of a misery merchant.
