If anyone is interested myself, Tiggs and sKeith were playing on MU last week.

80 player mash which was tonnes of fun.

Some really original role ideas too if any future mods want to have a gander.

(Do NOT attempt to read the entire thread, there's 30000+ posts, but a quicklink to the major moments is on the first page or so.)

When I joined boards.ie in 2007 (another username) I was in some supernatural forum or something, can't remember. I got introduced to boards by a guy I was dating for a few months, he showed me the poker forum.

I started playing poker, got chatting to another member Flushdraw and after online poker training of about 5 weeks, we decided to try live training...

So I don't need to fill in any more blanks! I am sure you can all work out the outcome :D

We had a whole table of folks from the poker forum when we tied the knot in 2012. And these were long tables. There could have been 16-20 of them. Although we had moved to IPB by then, I still say I picked up my hubby on Boards!

Gonna go read the wedding thread now over lunch. Thanks.

I met Mr Molly on the old Oxegen message boards before they got shut down. Online spouses ftw!

I was a prolific poster on the poker forum here once upon a time. I never made the switch to IPB. Lost interest in the game around the same time.

Aw that was lovely (Laus story across the 2 threads). Ruth (OH) and I were listening to the radio last night at dinner time and there was a bit on about what people should look for in relationships and she turned it down and told me why she was with me and i recipricated and it was so lovely. That thread gives me the same warm fluffy feeling.

maybe if you'd found some chick to give poker lessons to you might have stuck around and you'd have a rosemantic online love story to tell us all now :(

...maybe you'd have ended up as Mr Flushdraw!!

maybe don't tell your wife that reading a thread about two internet strangers, gives you the exact same feeling as when she opens her soul and tells you why she loves you!!

Aww god that was a lovely read for my lunchbreak! I don't have a clue why I'm with Mr Molly. He catches spiders so I don't have to? He takes out the bins? He washes the dishes?

How does he manage to do all 3 at the same time? Throw the dishes frisbee style at the spider and knock it and the dish into the bin? Thats pretty cool tbf.
