Dreams that had significance to future events

Years ago I had 2 recurring dreams that foretold future events. The first was I kept thinking I was pregnant and not long after I was. The second was where every night I'd steal my dad's work lorry and hide it where he couldn't find it hopefully. Still to this day I think my dad's occupation had something to do with his untimely death. So what's yours?

I cannot remember a dream that may have foretold a future event, but I have had dreams that somewhat relived past events. Now if someone steals my netbook from the locale javahouse I visit -- a recurrent dream -- then it might be said that it foretold a future event?

Your netbook holds a lot of personal information to you so you maybe have a fear of someone having stuff you hold dear in their possession. Could you be afraid of somehow letting people get too close to you? Do you put up barriers to some people when you feel they're getting too close?

My most private files are kept remotely on an off-line external drive with 256 bit encryption, so that's not a bother. The few current files on netbook drive would probably put a hacker to sleep from boredom reading them. I YAWN just thinking about them. Maybe I should link them here so that those with sleeping problems could take advantage?

Since joining boards in 2006 I've had 3 keyboard stalkers that were members. When shopping Grafton Street in Dub awhile back, he PM'd telling me everyplace I shopped that day; now that's really creepy! The other 2 are still on boards, and they may have thought their intentions were good at the time, but their actions freeeeeeked me out, including my flatmates.

So to answer your questions kitty, yes, I do "put up barriers" when online, several layers, especially with my main rig at home. But whenever I go online with the tiny netbook in our locale javahouse (the one I dream about losing), I am exposed to several vulnerabilities there (e.g., MIM, WireShark, and other packet analyzers), especially when accessing wifi through their open, unsecured, and unencrypted access point, which my current security suite pops up a warning everytime. I used to add a layer of security by using Tor, but today's boards times-me-out when I do, so that layer has been discarded.

(Did I put you to sleep reading this eye-bleeding long rambling post yet? If not, I'll keep trying :D )

So do you think that my repetitive nightmares of losing my netbook in our locale javahouse are a result of me "putting up barriers" to avoid them "getting too close?" Most of the time that worry is moot, as I typically hangout with a gang of coffee addicts while in the javahouse, or someone I date. But there are times I am working there alone at 6AM (when they 1st open), or into the night up until midnight closing. The caffeine keeps me from contracting keyboard face when working on indepth research projects, and the nature of my work allows me to work from almost anywhere so long as I can access the campus server or our lab via the net.

(Now I am YAWNING after this long rambling post. Most appropriate for the Sleepy and Dreamy forum)

    So what do you think?

Recurring dream. Twice past week. Strange. Dreaming I was dreaming. Beehive in dream. Blew bees at sleeping roommate. Tried to put bees in her dreams. Haven't asked yet. Foolish am I?

Had two dreams that I can remember that some what came true.
First one was me and a friend tied balloon rockets onto the back of a car as a practical joke, and apon waking I checked my twitter to see that that very friend had sent me a meme about balloons rockets being tied to a car as a prank.

Another was I had a dream were I was out drinking with a friend who I used to drink a lot with a few years ago but haven't been around in years, later on that day I got a text message from that friend asking to go for a drink, which was strange because I hadn't texted or spoken to him in months.

Given these 2 dream experiences, what do such dreams suggest to you ItsHoggie?

    Paranormal? Do dreams foretell?

The Parintintin Indians of Brazil believe dreams to be vehicles of shamanic power according to Kracke, WH, Psychiatric Journal of the University of Ottawa, Vol 12(2), Jun 1987, 65-72.
