    What Vodafone(Siro) will do is drill into your wall with a fibre optic cable, hook up a small box called an ont and that's how you'd get the internet. It has nothing to do with the electrical wiring aside from the fact that ESB(Siro) run it alongside them from wherever they have their equipment to your house.

    It's a good service, I have it myself. Highly recommend you get it if you need solid internet.
