    UNkel
+1,000,000 for Brian at spirit detailing.

On the other note. Should you want a boardsie to look after it for you. I assume this is a weekender?
Why not drive it down to Cork and leave it with FN for a week?
Get the bus or train back .
Do a return trip to collect and enjoy the trip home in your gleaming car.

Unkel, Ian in Elite is top notch from my experience. He's got some serious cars.

Drop it into him and then you don't have to go to that smelly place called Cark :D

Driving in the middle of thunder and lightning last night...

Made the hair on my arms prickle, but the car was this warm little humming cocoon against the wild weather outside.

Expect more thunder later and heavy possibly spot flooding in the south and east this evening and overnight. So be careful if out driving.

no you haven't. If you did I would spend a lot of time putting together an essay.

Look, I'm surfing the webz actively since 1998 (my first contact with internetz was in about 1996 when it was very, very basic) and I'm on various forums for many many years...

I have learned one thing... there is no point whatsoever to endlessly argue with somebody on the internet because at the end of the day it doesn't absolutely matter who thinks what. I have my opinion, I drive an e30 every single day and wouldn't change anything about it. Definitely wouldn't get a merc instead of an e30.

Of course it's a great craic! They are very nice to drive. E30s are not built for long journeys but you have some serious fun in them.

Tbh I can't imagine myself to have same amount of fun in any Merc from that era that is for the same money as E30.

Hitting apexes in something like this? No thanks.

I would always have said the majority of b8 A4's are driven by reps but that's not the case at all really when you look at it. However the amount you see being driven by middle aged woman normally with kids in the back they must be becoming the family car of choice. I would go as far to say you see more driven by woman then men maybe that is just in kilkenny.

I suppose it's still a step up from the Megane where the average driver was a 70 year old :pac: so I am back to the 30-45 age bracket :)

There was 2 small vacuum lines running off a tee to the factory bov, i replaced them with a single one to the new bov so one of them must have had a leak. A1 now,

Sorted the gear change problems too - adjusted the pedal / master cyl rod so the bite point is in the middle of the pedal and no probs with any gears now!

You wouldn't catch me in an E30. I shall stick to my Mercs and E34. The E34 is the bee all and end all compared to the E30, a mere shadow to the E34. And never again, I'll take a Merc any day over a BMW

Ah yep I would probably say mid 40s is probably more middle aged category but you know when you are 22 everyone older than 30 is ancient :pac: I have the opposite problem in work everyone that doesn't know me thinks I am a student and then you get this real shock look in their face when you tell them your actual role I have even had the odd person think I was actually taking the piss making a joke out of it :pac:

Good satisfaction from sorting those. Love it when a spot of diy sorts stuff like that. If I had known weather gonna be as good today I would have planned a few jobs myself. Could be a month before I get another chance.

Car smells like crap now.... apparently brand new tumble dryers have water in them from testing or something and it will all leak out when you put it on its side in your car. Got that kinda sour mop mixed with wet dog buzz gong on....

It was grand down the m7 and just threw up a coolant error outside Portlaoise. Was losing power then and sounds a bag of spanners now

Not sure if this should be in the "Today I did something to my car" thread.....

Anyway, this happened a family members car a few days ago. Pic of when I polished it last.
Was going like clockwork, 225k miles on it, not missing a beat!
Thankfully nobody injured (how, I don't know!)

What is says is that I am busy so I didn't reply straight away and because the previous thread was full I took 1 minute to transfer and amend all that text. Something really bothers you about me am I right? :D

E34s are big cars ... there is extra weight there when compared with E30. E30 will be much quicker than E34 if they both have the same engine. Nobody uses E34s for rallying. For obvious reasons.

This is a merc I wouldn't mind driving:

    1. cannot multiquote after the thread has been closed.
    2. cannot multiquote on mobile version of boards.
