Pube Monday doesn't have the same ring.

Any working day is kinda crap. After holidays particularly so.

Do you get straight into work when you go in or is there chat and coffee?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,102 ✭✭✭Lavinia

Anyone born today or on this date in history.
Vinnie Jones and Bradley Cooper, according to my local radio station to name 2.

    Do you celebrate birthdays?

Not my own and not all that bothered by anyone elses either!

If you had the ear of an influential decision maker would you tell them what needs to be done in the country or just chat about the weather?

I'd wring it so tight they'd beg for mercy.
Seriously though, I'd tell them how I feel I suppose, but most of those fcukers have little grasp on ordinary concerns.

What would you do, seriously now?

The absolute shameless abuse of the social welfare system is infuriating.
Dopes are out banging on about water charges when that (excuse the pun) is a drop in the ocean compared to people claiming free money.

Does your village participate in the tidy towns?

It does, they do, there are two beautiful villages in my parish and great effort is made to keep them looking that way.

Do you volunteer any time to such local work?

I do bits and pieces...picking up bits of rubbish, cutting grass and strimming in the spring/summer.

Are you wary about volunteering as you know you'll be expected to do it again?

Yes, I'm involved in the gaa, tidy towns and parish council, it can be a pain, I'm actually thinking of packing them all in, I've done my bit and they are time consuming.

How do people at home all the time fill their days do you reckon?

Probably not all that many. I'd go out and pick stones in a field if I was. And it wouldn't even be my field.

Do you have a male or female voice on the GPS?

Male, the female on mine sounds to much like herself, always telling me where to go.

    Do you know your eircode?

I only use it when filling in my address online and it asks for an zip code. Other than that I don't use them.

Do we live in a violent country? Just read a teenager was killed in Tallaght in a knife attack.

I depends on where you are. Dublin is probably the most violent part of Ireland.

Are you happy where you live?

I am, its a grand peaceful place in general, but Longford town is a bit of a kip, I live 14 miles north of it.

What's the worst thing about where you live?
