Battery issues since Windows update

    Hi all,

I have a HP Envy laptop. Only purchased in January.

Up until last week the battery was excellent, approx. 8-9 hours of normal use per full charge.

Yesterday and today the battery only lasts approx. 3 hours on full charge.

The only thing I can think of is that there was a large Windows 10 update last week.

Has anyone experienced anything similar in the last week? Or does anyone know what could be causing it / how I can fix this issue?

    Thanks in advance,

    Koolhanger

What power plan (under settings) do you have it set at before and after the update?

    Thanks for your reply.

As far as I can remember it was just set to balanced. I hadn't created a custom power plan.

So on the balanced power plan it was giving me 8 or 9 hrs per charge.
