I'm not sure but have been looking at his stats in the last week given his current form.

Since he moved from QPR he has yet to play a full 90 minutes for Southampton.

That's the main reason I cannot see him as a viable striker option for the time being despite his form, if he isn't able (or being selected) to play 90 minutes.

There are better options up front in my opinion but I usually spend heavy up front with 3 premiums, and have a lighter midfield.

If he was injury free, I would snap him up but he is too risky.

I wonder will Bilic face the axe?

Could be wrong but Antonio may be gone right back

Antonio seemed to play RB, LB, and R MID today. Everywhere except where you'd want him and he looked very unconvincing in defence.

    JWP goal, Davis assist

Not sure if Davis assist, was a cross and then deflected to Ward-Prausse.

You had one job Antonio, one f*cking job.

60pts leaves me around 800k with Capoue to play.

I think Southampton have looked a whole lot better as a team with Bertrand back in the team. Hardly a coincidence that they have 2 clean sheets in the 2 games he's been back. I may well try sneak him into the defence.

That interests me in Austin as 3rd striker. He will get goals if he starts and at a nice price too at the moment.

39 with Capoue, Deeney and Zuniga to go.

Payet booked for clapping the ref

Thank you Dmitri for adding a fourth 1 to my scoresheet. It goes nicely with the three 2s and the zero.

Cazorla my hero on 3 is my third best player this week. :(

    45 all out.

Was Austin injured when he went off.

Came on here yesterday mulling over Barry or Austin, was quickly told pick Austin which I did. He propelled me from 65 to 77 points with Holebas and Capoue to play. Happy out.

    Good choice

If holebas doesn't play tomorrow then my 3 starting defenders of baines, lovern and holebas will have not played. My 2 defensive sub's? Friend and Amat who both played 90 but scored zero.

At least Pickford in goal got a point.

I'm in the exact same boat regarding Holebas, Baines, Amat and Friend. :pac:

Is the Baines injury serious? Or will he be back for next week

I'm not sure they're being consistent here.
Don't assists get awarded to corner kick takers if the ball is "half cleared" and a goal is scored from inside the box?

2 points from Antonio today takes me to 50 for the week.
    Heaton and Capoue to play.

Might have gotten lucky with Given not playing, as Heaton will sub in.

Unusually two of my best players were defenders. Smith with 6 :D and Kos on the bench with 6. :(
Aguero saved my week. And I was told during the week I was mad for getting him in :pac: Ended up making 0.2 on him (Sold him for 13.1 and got him back for 12.9)

Take his score out and it would have been a really bad week.
Straight swap with Lukaku so would have only gotten 4 instead of 26. Thats a massive 22 point swing.

    Given (0)
    Smith(6) Walker(1) McAuley(2)
    Hazard (2) Capoue (??) Antonio (2) Bolasie (2)
    Aguero (13*2=26) Benteke(7) Ibrahimovic(2)

    Subs:
    Heaton(??) Snodgrass(2) Kosielny(6) Amat(0)

Gained 1K to take me to 52K OR

My dip in form came with Aguero's suspension. Went from 20K Or to 57K and lost top spot in my league. Now that he is back, I am also back on top of my work league - sitting 11 points clear at the top. :) The beauty is that the next two managers are all out, while the three below them only have Capoue to play.

No. They get awarded if the ball ends up going to the general area it was played towards despite the deflection. So if half cleared back the way it came, or back away from goal it won't be an assist (e.g. Bony last week). If the ball gets a flickbut keeps going the same direction (e.g. Puncheon last week) or lands in the same general area it was heading towards (e.g. Ibra or Alli last week) it will be an assist.

The rule is open to criticism (although personally I have no problem with it for FPL purposes) but it's generally applied fairly consistently IMO.

I'm hoping igahlo, capoue and prodl can catapult me to #1 in my money leagues tomorrow.

    Feelsgoodman.

    Gotcha, thanks.
Would the Puncheon assist have been awarded if the shot was outside the box and all other things the same?

I think so yeah. Inside or outside box has no bearing. It's whether 'the touch by the opposing player significantly alters the intended destination of the ball'.

......that moment when you realise you just quoted a section of the FPL rules from memory....

You bought him for £13.1m in the first place?

    IIRC it used to ;).

If it's any consolation, I got 21 pts and a 3,666,153 GR 2 GWs ago and I'm a feckin' good player too :pac:...

On 55pts with Capoue and Holebas to go. Like others have mentioned, I'm hoping Holebas is able to play as my substitute on the bench is Friend who scored zero unfortunately.

    Fingers crossed

I went up 600 places with the 2 pts from antonio, I'll take that.

It's not visible now from the player information page now but Aguero was at 13.3 at one point.
I think it was something weird like him going up 0.1 on the saturday, played on the sunday, didn't do anything but still went up another 0.1
He wasn't given the suspension until the following Monday/Tuesday (not sure on when it was applied but it was a retrospectice suspension)

He was the first player on my teamsheet for 13.0 and I sold him when he was worth 13.2 for a profit of 0.1 (he was 13.2 when I sold him so the selling price was actually 13.1).
Last Sunday I brought him back for 12.9 which means I banked a total of 0.2

Edit: probably flawed logic there on the gain; I bought him for 13.0, sold him for 13.1 and bough him back for 12.9 (so you could say I only made 0.1 on him)

Didn't that used to be an assist as the ball didn't leave the box ?????
