Ramping it up a gear

    So, i've changed my lifestyle regarding food consumption with the last month or two, training regime has remained the exact same and i'm happy to say the weight has absolutely fallen off me for the first time in years, but I still have a little way to go, thankfully I am looking forward to it. Now, I have gotten some good advice on this forum before so I said i'd see can anyone offer their two cents with regard to the following questions;

    A meal I like to make for breakfast is the following:

    Sweet potato (1)
    Portabella mushroom (2) {Grilled}
    Large tomato (1) {Grilled}
    Spinach (Large handfull) {Wilted on frying pan}
    Egg (1) {Fried}
    Wholemeal bread (1 slice) {with Irish creamery butter}
    Barrys tea (1 cup) {with couple of drops of low fat milk}

    Question 1: Can you give me an approximate calorie total for the above meal?

    Question 2: Can you offer any improvements (e.g. swap low fat milk with unsweetened Almond milk)?

    Question 3: Can this entire meal be frozen and reheated at a later date OR are some of the items not suitable for freezing?

    The third question is the one I am most concerned about and the reason this thread is entitled 'Ramping it up a gear', I now want to make all my meals for the week on one day (e.g. Sunday), then freeze and thaw/reheat as required, to save time in the kitchen during the week.

    Nobody can really give you an idea without knowing the quantities.
    Especially in something like a sweet potato that comes in a wide range of sizes.
    To a lesser extent the bread and the butter. One slice to another could be double the calories.

    As for the other questions. The milk is a tiny amount, less than 1% of the meal, swapping it to almond is negligible.
    In terms of how to improve. There's not a lot of protein, and lots of carbs. Maybe try to balance that a bit better by adjusting quantities.

    Freezing it would change it nutritionally. But I don't think that the mushroom, tomato or egg will freeze and reheat.
