    Hi everyone,
Do you believe in the rule of not eating after 6/7pm to lose more weight? Or do you think it's a myth?
Please share your experiences here. I currently eat until right before bed. 12am. I'm eating 1,200 calories a day and exercise average 45 mins 3 days a week. I'm weighing 14 stone and seeing only 1-2 lbs weight loss per week.

1-2lbs weight loss per week is what you're looking for. Keep doing that.

And no. Eat whenever. Calorie deficit = weight loss.

It's a useful rule to follow because a lot of people get bored in the evening and eat a bunch of useless sugary food like biscuits and cake. They're not even hungry they just need some hobbies!

If that isn't you then it won't matter much when you eat. And as said, 1-2lbs is perfectly reasonable weight loss. If what you're doing is sustainable then you're right on track.

It's always after 7pm somewhere. Eat whenever you like.

It also means they are likely to eat just before their time limit, and so will probably not be very hungry later on. While some might skip dinner and get very hungry and eat loads just before going to bed, taking in loads of energy which would be better for most to have in the day. I have read going to bed on a really full stomach is not the best for a restful sleep as you will be digesting it.

If you were a lab rat or in prison you might be fed at certain times and it might make no difference when you were fed, but I would rather not be going around hungry if I can help it, as we are not lab rats and can give into temptation. If I only had 1200kcal to eat per day I would certainly not like to be forced to eat it all just before going to sleep and have nothing the next day until bed time again.
