Anyone feeding whole milk through the auto feeder. I was thinking about getting the feeder upgraded to take whole milk, but it is going to cost €1500 and I'm also concerned about higher disease risks.
My plan was to feed 50:50 whole milk:milk replacer.
So anyone feeding whole milk through them, good job/bad job?
My plan would be to feed milk replacer to heifers and whole milk to bull/beef calves pre sale. One of the reps I was talking to said there could be an issue with disease like transmission of Johnes from the whole milk as the mixing bowl wouldn't be washed between each feed. Like, a milk fed calf drinks and next in is a replacer fed calf, some of the milk would still be in the bowl/line/teat, if I understood him correctly.

He also said you have two options with whole milk storage, keeping it in a refrigerated tank and transferring according to what you need with washing out regularly or keeping a small plastic tank uncooled and washing out each day.

I was offered a machine at €8,000 for a cash price and €8,500 for the finance option. I didn't think this was allowed?
    What are my options?

Does this mean the interest free option is actually 6.25%interest???

the H&L with two mixing bowls can keep whole milk mixed in 1 and CMR in the other. let 1 mixing bowl feed 2 pens and 1 mixing bowl feed other two pens
