Hi all, I've been having stomach/gut/digestive issues for a while now, finally went to the GP. She's recommended a low FODMAP diet for 2 weeks. Has anyone else on here done this? Any handy tips?

I've been looking it up online, just wondering if any boardsies have done this diet. I have to cut out a lot of stuff I usually eat! But hopefully it will help me feel better.
    Thanks!

Whoops, I just saw there are a few threads on this already - however, if anyone has any info to share (meal ideas, recipes, etc), please do!
    Thanks

My husband does this, he has noticed a huge difference after years of stomach problems. The biggest triggers for him are garlic, mushrooms and onions, which makes cooking a creative challenge!

I know, I would have thought garlic was completely harmless? I cook with it all the time. Will have to make a lot of big adjustments.

You can use garlic-infused oil which helps! I tend to use a lot of herbs and spices now to compensate. Chilli, paprika etc are all fine thankfully.

Get the Monash University FODMAP app. It's pretty extensive.
