Start getting into paganism, the occult and psychedelic narcotics. Then Everyday will be a holiday. You're 30 now, you've earned it

No way, when I hit 30 I was like, "Finally, I feel like a real grownup and I can be taken seriously, here's to the rest of my life".

I'm 50 this weekend and I was planning to celebrate it, even looking forward to celebrating it, privately in a small way at home with my husband (make a steak for dinner, stick a single candle into one of those little cakes that looks like an overgrown square muffin, drink a dram, have an early night). But nooooooo, my husband's mother counts me as the oldest of the "middle children" (the firstborn is a little more than two years younger than me, my husband, born a bit too closely after, is three years younger than me, and the rest of the cohort and their partners fall at random in the next decade down). So I get to be the first "50th" in the family, and they have decided to make it an event. Big ass barbecue, three chefs/trainee chefs in the family participating, and they all went in on a gift that my notoriously loose-lipped mother-in-law is prohibited from speaking to me about. It was supposed to have been a surprise party so thank the fairies my MIL spilled the beans on that one. I am not a "surprise" sort of person. :) My husband bought me a Kenmore stand mixer I'd had my eye on for a while (he'll be the third chef when he completes his training). I also buy him kitchen appliances. In a year or two we will run out of new types of appliances to buy, or we'll have to cook in the fireplace for lack of room in the kitchen.

I wonder in passing how many cakes I will be the excuse for making this year. I know of four, including a raspberry cheesecake, a pear galette, a croquembouche, and a sort of overly elaborate strawberry mousse layer cake with strawberry puree on top (the French name of which I forget; it's not a "fraisier", though). Ironically I am a diabetic. An amused diabetic.
I'm thinking of going to sziget next year for mine

I haven't been to Budapest in nearly 40 years, since my father took me to meet his parents. Like many other Hungarian Jews, we avoid going to Hungary these days as a gesture of protest.

My current gf organised a treasure hunt around the city, incorporating places we met up, danced ete and at the end of it she was waiting at the bottom of a chairlift to the top of the mountain were she wrapped up an iPad in a homemade Tri colour! Great day

Well i used to masturbate for every year i was born on my birthday since it was my special day. It would remind me of my teenage years when i would sit around the house masturbating all day. As i got into my 20's i found it difficult to hit my target of 20+ masturbations a day. So i did what any person would do and went to google in search of answers. I stumbled upon a great device called a Fleshlight it's basically a male masturbation device.I don't want to go into too much detail about it because I don't want to spoil it for you but, i will say it is definitely one of the best products i have ever purchased and is possibly one of the greatest inventions of all time. So treat yourself for your birthday and purchase one I guarantee you won't regret it.

Turned 4-0 a few weeks back; me and the missus went to London and spent an evening in the GIR Lion Lodge in London Zoo...... Private tours after hours, dinner, breakfast, early morning tours - highly recommended!

When I was in college going into second year, my housemate from first year rang me up at about 10am and said lets go drinking!

So, off we went. I didn't need anymore encouragement than that. Started in the student bar, headed into town, went from pub to pub encouraging more people to join us. Mid afternoon we went and bought cans, and drank in the park, and then early evening we went out again to the pubs and ended up in the nightclub. I have never in my life had so much fun! Best birthday ever!

For my 30th, I tried anal. The then girlfriend wasn't mad for the idea, but she gave in. I'll tell you, I don't get the hype. It was alright, a bit sore, and I didn't poop right for a week after...

Monart is fabulous. If you book 4 or 5 months in advance you can get brilliant deals. I've been twice and loved it.
I'll go back again next year

Im two years time, I'll be closer to 50 than i will be to 21. That is scary.

Where does the time go? I was only 21 yesterday, or it felt like it.

My 21st when when I was still in college. A hotel function room was booked and about 100+ friends and classmates attended. It was a 70s theme night as I was born halfway through that decade and love 70s music.

For my 30th my ex organised a trip up to Belfast where I presumed it would just be the two of us but when I walked into the restaurant about 10 good friends were there to surprise me. It was great. We went clubbing afterwards and lots of bedroom action with my then OH the next day.:D:pac: Great. And a lovely wristwatch which I still wear as a present.

My 40th wasn't a big deal. I had lost my dad 8 months previously so wasn't in the party mood but my ex took me out to dinner and friends chipped in for a top of the range iPad for me so that was lovely.:o

For my 50th in 2025? Who knows? Hopefully I'll still be around and that it'll be a good one.:)

Went to Rome. Stayed in the Marriott. Had a ball.

They took a copy of our passports when we checked in and when we got back on the big day they had a bottle of complimentary champagne in a bucket of ice and 2 glasses.

Enjoy your 30th...it'll only happen once!!

Widdled on a priest. On my first birthday. It's my proudest achievement in life!

My dad had to lend him a pair of trousers.

To the fella masturbating once for every year, I hope you live to be 100!
