Didn't work quite as well as your ruse. They were lynched after one turn

    I bet you were delighted!

Raze's actions last game made it impossible for me to fully trust anyone, even when it was obvious they were good. I kept thinking "Their story checks out, but.......But what if they are as good at lying as Raze?"

Ha ha if you look back at the game you'll see I only kinda lied once at the start then to make the judge lynch, never really lied too much

Ah, it wasn't quite the same tbh. I didn't have the chance to come out and claim my role as they munched me at 10am Monday morning. Twas the Sith who killed me so Vader knew who I was and he tried to use it but messed it up a little bit. I wasn't too bothered!

I wasn't mad at you either more the village who had believed me, I died and was proven good - only for them to promptly forget my existence!

Both games were really hectic though a lot of work went into them and I agree with Joe that I feel jaded after them. Looking forward to sitting back and watching Tigger do his thing in the Worlds from Monday. Recharge the batteries for the Marvel game!!

I wanted to put a lot of work in. Given the role of a NRV, helped with no real role to add pressure, but I wanted to be as active as I could in posting while reading everything to try figuring out who to trust.

Ain't a flushdraw when you have four and are still waiting for the 5th of the set, so could equally be a dud hand ~4/5 times

I'm gonna see if anyone on FB will run a game shortly.

Against the best interests of my currently unshattered mind, I'll offer to mod with them.

I wonder how did everyone find the Thursday start. It was an unusual end of week for me so can't really say if it worked better or not for me personally.

I didn't mind it too much but Sunday ended up being very hectic with the football and stuff. I think I prefer the soft Sunday starts. Or even a soft Saturday evening start (as people are out) and then first actions maybe Sunday evening with a lynch was my thinking.

Just a few thoughts on the rules . . Particularly if there are aspects of the game that the Mods do not want discussed, these need to be clear (I'm thinking of the doll thing). I know it makes sense to think "well why would they want one person simply saying they will give the doll to the person who would benefit their team", but when you are in game, you are looking for ways of helping your team. Its obvious to some people but to others still trying to make sense of the arena, its a little less clear. If this wasn't clarified (DO NOT TELL THE GROUP WHO HAS THE DOLL), you get it in your mind that its fair game (or at least not a major issue).

On reflection, I see why the Mods would be pissed, but there are a lot of things left ambiguous in many of these games. I had to PM the mods several times enquiring about my role (can you drop coin same person - Do NRV get informed that I have coined them) which led me to believe that elements of the game were still being ironed out as we went along (which is fine BTW). Particularly when you don't get a response from the Mods , you sort of think "well they obviously don't think its important I know the answer to this so I will sort of wing it". It means I try to wing other things and if I think well "How about this strategy of the Doll, why don't we get your man to come out and I can give him the doll". I am thinking, there is nothing in the rules saying I cant say I have the doll (at least I didn't think there was, I didn't check to be fair so that's on me) and there is nothing saying the character cant say "hello" so the village can use this to our advantage. In hindsight, this does look like the whole "mass character reveal" spoiler issue, but I genuinely didn't think I was doing anything wrong at the time.

But if the mods had of said to me "Rule x says do not reveal you have the doll", I would of held my hands up quickly and taken my punishment in better spirits. I wouldn't of liked it, but I would of moved on. But the "spirit of the game" explanation made me feel like they thought I was purposely cheating which killed the game for me. I don't know if this was what they felt, but I knew I had f**ked up but feeling like a cheat (after I had already informed them I could see the SK when I could of said nothing) was hard to stomach.

For me, in future, I will try and PM mods if I am unsure of a strategy. I don't want to cheat and don't want people to think I am trying to win at all costs. Perhaps that should be included in the Rules (highlighted) that if you have an idea that involves role reveals or reveals that may help one side but could potentially not in the spirit of the game, check with mods before publically posting. These may sound obvious to some people, but I personally get so involved in the game , I forget that just because something isn't spelt out in the rules, doesn't mean its fair game.

Dp any time I've been on a wolf team or in a backroom, I had loads of questions for the mods. That's the way it should be.

Everyone needs to be more patient in getting responses. That no-one responded to you doesn't obviously mean to me that you can wing it.

We all have a care of duty to try and play it safe and not harm the game (granted it wasn't intentional by you).
