Sanchez (c) - if he "survives" tomorrow's match against bolivia (FIFA World Cup CONMEBOL qualifying tournament)

Zlatan. Big game so he ought to show himself.

    Thinking Hazard

    Taking a chance on Negredo

Should see a decent spread of captains this week anyway, with Aguero out and Ibra facing a tough fixture.

Coin toss between Sanchez and Hazard.

Did someone mention before that Hazard's returns are much more inconsistent away from home?

    Half thinking about Cazorla too.

Hazard at the moment.....although Sanchez could rob it off him at the last minute

Genuinely shocked at the lack of love for lukaku. Banged in 2 for Belgium yesterday and will be keen to get off the mark and show good form after a confusing transfer window for him. I know a few here on the forum are dead set against captaining him but he still got 20ish goals last season from a mis firing everton side. Add to that, Sunderland look shaky at the back with Moyes at the helm.

the fact he hasn't scored for Everton since March 12th might have something to do with it.

Practically dead level between Sanchez and Hazard ( my vote for Sanchez being the difference! :P )

    Everyton fan here.

Not contemplating putting Rom in team until he scored 1 then he may go on a streak.

Hasn't scored since 6th of Feb in the league and hasn't looked good so far. 2 goals against Cyprus doesn't count for much. Plenty of other options already firing (Defoe, Costa, Negredo) and he is not on pens anymore. Sunderland have looked poor at the back but you could make the same transfer argument for Kone and now he is settled and that will settle Sunderland as he is their best defender by a mile. They've also signed a new keeper and, to be fair, they've been away to Southampton + City which are not easy games; they have conceded the same or less goals overall than the teams City have played so far.

Having said all that, I do rate him and if I didn't have Barkley + Baines I'd go for him (can't be having 3 Everton!!!)

Has been on hazard since around 7pm of gw 3, when I transferred him in. Likley contenders are Ibra or Ozil but think I'll stick to my gut and hazard

Going to go with Ibra I think. He despises Pep and will be well up for it.

I'm torn between Ibra and Hazard now as I decided not to get Sanchez in. Slightly leaning towards Hazard ATM

Ya I'm leaning towards just getting Ozil in now rather than getting Sanchez and just having to get rid in order to get Aguero is back. I don't have the stats but isn't Hazard less effective in away games? I think there's an article about this over on FFS if you're a member.

Yeah that's the one thing that's putting me off, Hazard's home stats are way better than his away

Sanchez > Hazard for me....I think Hazard wasn't great away from even in his player of the year season (stand to be corrected).

I have Ibra, Kun and Hazard. My plan was to captain Kun and Ibra every other week when they are playing at home.

As Ibra is playing away I think I'll take the opportunity to punt and captain Gray at home to Hull.

Will Sanchez start? BBC Sport are reporting:

"Arsene Wenger says midfielder Aaron Ramsey is not ready to return from injury, while he is yet to see goalkeeper David Ospina and forward Alexis Sanchez since they returned from international duty."

Read into that what you will. Personally, I think Sanchez - when fit - is one of those lads who Wenger plays until he breaks, so I can see him starting.

    This has me nervous
PSG midweek so prob won't play 90 either way whereas hazard and Ibra will
They also have MUCH higher ownership
    Hhhmmmm

There'll be pictures of training on arsenal.com later. Sanchez has played at least 70 mins every match following an international break. Wenger doesn't do earlier subs than that

    Sanchez in training today: https://www.facebook.com/Arsenal/videos/10154204741457713/

Also looks like Gabriel around the 20 second mark, which is pretty early return for him

The more people on FFS and Twitter that don't captain, or even own him, the better in my opinion. Watch him not start now :pac:

Just for reference, here's a couple of articles where Wenger was voicing even more concerns last October. We played Watford on the Saturday and had Bayern Munich on the Tuesday:
    http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/612244/Arsene-Wenger-major-Alexis-Sanchez-worry-Watford-clash
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3273866/Arsene-Wenger-sweating-fitness-Alexis-Sanchez-ahead-Arsenal-trip-Watford.html

I still captained him and he got 10 points while Pelle was the poll leader and blanked.

This was Wenger after the match: http://www.espnfc.us/arsenal/story/2668735/wenger-alexis-sanchez-relentless-in-arsenal-win-at-watford

Might chance Michail Antonino with the armband with Costa vice.
Hammers have Watford at home. Had him benched last GW (City Away) He got 7

    Any love for Defoe?

Gonna go with Costa - though nobody else seems to be doing it which is worrying me.

Hazard and Ozil are both tempting me (no Sanchez)

Ibra for me. A man for the big occasion i reckon

It's on Hazard as nothing else really jumps out at me.

Apart from a Mirallas MNF special :)

Very tempted by Costa myself. Closely followed by Zlatan.

    MNF, you say.....

After his 2 goals against Cyprus.......... NO!

Hazard, for the same reason as yourself :pac::D

Hazard here aswell, looks a good fixture for him

I quite fancy Jay Rodriguez to do something if he starts.

But Hazard (C) all the way for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,400 ✭✭✭TacT

    haz to be

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 330 ✭✭Wamble

Hoping Hazard's away form from previous seasons continues, so I'm captaining Antonio. He's a beast, with a more advanced position in line for tomorrow, and watford's defensive set up is the worst in the league atm.

    Go Hammers go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,146 ✭✭✭Kankan14

Costa is the one I'm leaning towards. Small chance I change to ozil or IBRA.
