    Hi,

I have repainted the skirting and door jams the standard satin white. The door saddles are shabby and painted with dark stain varnish. is there anything that can be done to jazz them up was thinking of getting rid of them but don't really have the time at the moment.

    Thanks,

    R

Sand them down and start again.

I'm in the process of painting all the saddle boards white to match the skirting boards. I'm using a gloss rather than a satin though, easier to clean.

I went with the Rustins floor paint in the end - it looks grand now.
