Can't say I'm that much of a fan of it. Monza just reminds me of the boring long straight - fair enough TV can't convey the immense speeds they reach but I find it a boring race to watch in general. Like last week, I'll record quali and the race and watch them when I have time, no longer make a point of having to watch them live anymore.

A few hours before quali and only three posts (including this one) says a lot about where the sport is at these days.

Looking like another Mercedes out front borefest.

I don't care if max verstappen might have a knowledge of past drivers crashes. He needs to stand over his dangerous driving last week.

That prospects of an exciting race tomorrow are fairly poor. Surprised at just how much of an advantage Mercedes have this weekend. Only hope for any fun is if Lewis and Nico come together at T1.

Lewis half a second quicker then Rosberg.

A high speed track like Monza, I don't think it's that surprising how strong the Mercs were. They'll be gone like a bat out of hell after the first corner assuming there isn't a kerfuffle there.

Mcs nearly 2 seconds behind the Mercs, very disappointing but not surprising either I suppose.

Only ways this can be livened up tomorrow is Ferrari's and Mercs eliminate each other or else it rains.

I wouldn't like to see the Ferraris gone esp at Monza, but the Mercs...yahay!!!

Stupid question by Eddie. Well done to Verstappen for taking him up on it.

    What did EJ say?

Verstappen came over for an interview with the C4 team. Eddie,in his inimitable way said to him, 'aren't you so lucky that you didn't get a penalty from the last race...' and Ves replied with a sort of blank look on his face, 'but I didn't get a penalty so why would you ask that question then he said..'what's wrong with you Eddie, are you playing to the audience who are watching this? Which is exactly what Eddie was doing and Ves could see right through it.

I'm paraphrasing but that's the jist of it.

Someone needs to have a word with the porsche drivers. They won't get any racing in if they keep flipping themselves over.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,698 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

You could see that paddy Lowe is ****ing himself about his two drivers in the first corner.

Hamilton had a disaster of a start.

Just annoying to see so much tyre and fuel management. Would be great to watch proper flat out racing.

    Nice move by Lewis.

    Nice move by Lewis.

Has he shot his tyres battling tho. Sounds like his team were suggesting he just follow and drop the hammer when those ahead pit. He may have to pit earlier now

Felipe Nasr isn't out of his car.

Just cruising around 6/7 seconds slower than yesterday's pole.

Wehrlein: what could go so badly wrong with the car that the mechanics could tell him "stop now"? If it was overheating he could just back off for a bit, you would think. If it was mechanical it would be fairly evident, not a surprise to the driver.

Unless Hamilton catches Nico and they take each other out, that's the result decided.

Have to say after qualifying yesterday fully expected Hamilton to dominate today, that awful start cost him so much.

Wonder what sort of reception Rosberg will get here. He's been the boo target of late.

    This too shall pass.

    He was right to laugh

Not a great race, but good result for championship

Nice bit of crowd surfing for Rosberg

    Well done Nicola.

I thought I imagined the engineer saying that. I guess not! Lol
