Hello all I bought a laser regatta there two weeks ago it needed a bit of work and I have never minded begin my hands dirty so I have done a lot of the work myself. My problem is the current main sail is damaged it has a small tare on the the end of one batten sleeve and the luff wire at the head has been damage and cut, it is cut off a foot down. Now I have changed the entire luff wire and have patches ready to go on. But I was wondering is there anybody selling a secondhand sail as I won't be racing. Any input appriated thanks Hugh

try ebay, laser 2s are as a rare as hens teeth these days. other is try some of the smaller uk lofts who usually have 2nd hand sails from other dinghies that might be useable

I am not familiar with lasers, if you don't find one you could try the Irish Laser Association they have a for sale and wanted section. For Sale - http://www.laser-ireland.com/forsale/index.html

What Vex said is your best bet. - maybe email them and explain your plight. Some of the more competitive sailors get new sails every season so would be grateful for someone to take the year or two old sails off them.

The battons ripping the pocket seems to be an issue with laser 2s, happened to me twice, wrap duct tape around the end of the batton before putting it in, so that the batton won't as severe on the pocket.
