Would anybody be able to recommend a part time/evening course in dietetics/nutrition.

I am interested in the area and want to see what its like before I could commit to something more serious.

You can contact the and find out what courses they recommend.

You could look up nutrition courses but there's likely to be a boatload of courses that give you no idea what a career in dietetics would be like because it has no credible basis.

So I'd give them a bell to get a point in the right direction

    +1 for the above
The only recognised undergrad dietetic course in the republic is in DIT
    http://dit.ie/studyatdit/undergraduate/programmescourses/allcourses/humannutritiondieteticsdt223.html

UCD now offer a MSc in Dietetics as well, although competition for entry is extremely high. https://sisweb.ucd.ie/usis/!W_HU_MENU.P_PUBLISH?p_tag=PROG&MAJR=X723

UCD, DIT and UCC also offer general nutrition courses with a recognised qualification as a nutritionist.
So it might also be worth contacting above for further guidance.

Also info on the difference between nutritionist and Dietitian https://www.indi.ie/what-is-a-dietitian.html

A lot of part time course tend to be offered by holistic colleges where the qualification isn't officially recognised or accredited. its important that you do your research properly here if you think you want to go on to do further study to become a dietitian so definitely with getting in contact with the above. Even contacting a dietitian (list on indi website) for advice can be useful.
