Judgment Mortgage Question

    Hi all,

    I have been googling for hours trying to gain some insight into Judgment Mortgages & havent had much luck.

    We (parnter & I) intend to build a house on land given to us by my partners parents but have been told that a JM was made against the property & land close to 25 years ago.... nothing has ever come from it i.e no payments made. Does this mean it is no longer in place?

    We have a solicitor just impossible to get hold of him at the moment!!
