And end to period pain?

I hope it's not too good to be true!

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/livia-the-off-switch-for-menstrual-pain-women-health#/ claims to close the pain receptors to the brain by using shockwaves.

I don't get crippling cramps but enough to make me want to hide away from the world for a few days. Perhaps there is someone here who gets them so bad that they'd try this without a second thought. I wouldn't mind some feedback!

I have endometriosis and I'm blessed with keel over level pain so I would try anything!

There was a Buzzfeed video and they had a few positive comments on it. The girl with endo didn't give it rave reviews but every little helps. Depending on the price point I'd be willing to give it a go.

Is it basically a smaller, more girly, possibly less effective TENS thing? I have a TENS thing I use on a shoulder problem sometimes, and I've used the pads around the lower abdomen when I've had cramps and it's helped - not hugely but better than nothing.

Sounds like something already existing being rebranded and sold in pretty colors.

yeah I watched this ages ago and just went "that's a tens machine". They sell theming Boots. My GF swears by them (they've never done anything for my pain).

    Redesigned for the pink pound.

It's like a pink razor - same old, same old - different color and higher price for the ladies.

Yep, you can buy a basic TENS in Boots, two or four pads you stick where you need pain relief - or have muscle tension - and you can set it at whatever level you feel comfortable. I think they're cheaper and probably more versatile than these little yokies.

I thought of using it for period pain years ago - it's okay, but probably more of a distraction from the pain than relief of it - I only thought of it after my sis in law used a TENS for pain relief in labour.

It does annoy me how they think they can make it in a pretty colour and small design and bingo! It's now a 'womens' product and totally a brand new idea!

Ah yes, the pink tax. Very annoying.
