Is there such a thing as pads for lower back fr sit-ups??

Allow me to explain, I had surgery on my back several years ago, all good now except for the scar which can get tender when aggravated. Its the base of my spine, coxic area.

I started a military bootcamp recently and I am enjoying it but the sit-ups are aggravating my lower back. I want to be able to do all the exercises along with the rest of the group.

So is there such a thing as a back pad for lower back or perhaps padded shorts I could use?

    Cheers

    Ab-Mat help?

Failing that just do a core exercise that doesn't aggravate your lower back :)

Sit ups are terrible for your back. Try doing loads of core excersises that don't involve you flexing your spine

    Hi,

Thanks for the replies.I spoke with the trainer and he will factor in some other exercises for me to do instead of sit ups so all is good!

    Thanks again
