blacksmithing courses?

    Can anyone direct me to smithing courses in Ireland, Britain or Europe? Not looking for a weekend thing (which I keep seeing advertised) but a full on 6-12 months learning experience. Particularly interested in Belfast

    Try locating a smith near you or phoning any of the contacts on this site
    www dot irishblacksmiths dot com/training dot html and asking if they train or could recomend where to go.

    When I did a short course in Wicklow the guys were able to discuss where to go for further for training plus how to go about building a forge and getting/making tools.
