New Thread OR use the archive?

    Hi,
    Im looking for a bit of advice. Dont wana brake any rules !.
    Some sub-fourums suggest checking the archive so as not to post a similar topic.
    However, ive noticed one or two other sub-forums advising against this?
    Slightly confusing?

    Can anybody advice me on what is appropriate?
    Were is the middle ground?

    It'll depend on the forum in question unfortunately. Some of the topics are by their nature fast moving, others are far more static. If in doubt try searching first, and then start a new thread if you can't find anything.
