Of course, I won't have a bike to try them until early Sept as waiting on canyon.

I wont be able to collect mine until Monday week as i am on holidays. :(

I am almost disappointed i didn't order more,(I ordered two sets so the €25 oversize fee is not as bad) Definitely still a bargain.

Did both wheels come in the one box ?

Just my father in law is collecting mine and he said "oh there is 2 wheels so the postman said he will drop them in an hour"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,520 ✭✭✭Alek

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,520 ✭✭✭Alek

I don't need these, will never need them and I'm disappointed, I didn't buy a set of them. Seems to be the bargain of the century.

I think these are CX/Disc brake wheels.

They better be! I nearly pulled the trigger and then noticed!

Jesus lucky then or we could have just bought a new bike for them!

Seems to be a very loud freehub in them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,520 ✭✭✭Alek

Thats good or bad? Whats the general consensus ?

    (it is loud alright!)

Personal preference - I like loud. Wheels appear very good I think. Don't have a bike to use them on for another few weeks but they seem nice and light and good quality.

Yeah yeah...so you had time to get off the bike and take a pic before I caught up :pac:

Careful now guys! Coming back from work (60k on the wheels) I felt the front is going a little funny / wobbly. At home I noticed that the wheel has like 3mm play left-right in the bearings!

Before this happens to you, make sure this screw its a bit tighter than how it came:

I haven't tightened this element on the rear as it is covered by the rotor, but will soon.

Technically its not really dangerous, but will wreck your bearings in a short while if you don't notice.

I think i may have misplaced one of the QR adapters for the rear hub.
Any chance someone is using the wheels with a through axle and doesn't need the QR adapters?
Looking at the package contents I think it's WH-RDISC-8-C228

    Hi guys

I have a set of these wheels (actually bought, unused from one of the Boardsies a few years ago)
They sat in my attic until this year , when Ive been using them for cx racing

Only have 4 races on them, - then last night doing hill intervals, the rear free hub crapped itself....

Just wondering if anyone else has had problems with these wheels, from that ebay seller?

Thinking maybe they are copies - there's no way the freehub should fail like that after a few spins...
