It's stocktaking time of the year for most companies(usual end of year for retail is 31st July) and the staff are first to know and either buy them up or hold them for family and friends so unless you can get them online then you're likely sh*t outta luck.

I ordered online had it delivered to my local store, so pick up is from tomorrow and they hold the item for 14 days, I ordered 2 bottles of the Lacoste Challenge so all in it was 15.50 ( 2.50 delivery )

If you only registered with Boots you may need to confirm the registration, then the confirmation might follow. I got acknowledgement first and then after opening the email and going into the account I got the confirmation email .

Thanks,just got the confirmation now.It says 'we aim to supply you with everything you ordered' so hopefully I get the Armani sets OK as they went OOS very quickly.

Natlor I ordered one of the armani gift sets and a few of the other ones (Lacoste and the Union J) this morning at about 11:15 - it hasnt been cancelled yet so fingers crossed! They have already taken payment from my card...

yeah paid the same €2.50, its the first time Ive ever come across a delivery charge to pick up at a store. But for such a great bargain I was far from bothered

Great bargain. In fact it does not even seem to be an internet only price, its an instore price too.

I went to a Boots shop and showed the girl at the perfume counter my phone with Boots.ie website advertising the Lacoste Challenge for €6.50, she told me they had no stock, but that she would order it in for me.

I assumed the €6.50 price was an internet only price, but she pulled it up on the till.... same price. (Ordered 2 bottles, came to €13), will be picking it up instore on Fri. Seems like you can avoid paying €2.50 for delivery if they order for you instore instead of you ordering it yourself.

Its real nice stuff too....had a sniff of a tester in another perfume shop.

I guess it's one of those too- good- to- be- true deals after all..... I placed two orders yesterday at 12:01 and at 12:21 and they have not been dispatched. I order from boots very often and they normally dispatch within a few hours. One time it went into dispatched within the hour of placing an order when I was on the line to their team to try and cancel it. Not happy today, I thought I had the Christmas stocking fillers sorted this year
