Hi, looking to get a basic pull-up bar that slides into a door frame. I'm only about 11 Stone and 5'6 so I don't need one to hold a lot of weight as I'm just looking to improve at pull-ups in general.
The two I've come across so far are this one from Argos and this one from eBay.
Now I'm sure that there are better options out there but I said I say that I've seen these in case they do the job. Not looking to spend a whole pile of money either but if it's a case that I have to then I will.

Can only speak for the Argos one. Got mine a good while ago and it's perfect. Strong and reliable. Never had a problem with it. And I was heavy enough at the time too.

I got mine in Argos, does the job perfectly. They don't seem to have the exact model any more but it was one of these sort of dealies: click

Do these ever work? All I ever see on YouTube is people falling using these.

Yeah. There's a YouTube channel and all it shows is people using these without any problems and there are literally tonnes of subscribers

They are probably not using the cup/socket things you are meant to screw onto the door frame.

They are probably just unscrewing it and hoping the force of the bar pushing apart is enough to hold them.

21 euro is a lot for a standard telescopic one, pretty sure I got one in lidl for 6 euro.

I would sooner get the removable type.

The Argos one is removable and doesn't require screws.

The removable type that hook onto the frame work fine. But it did damage my door frame over the course of a year of use.
