I assumed it was a flaw. Had a look at Untappd reviews and no one else mentioned sourness though so it might have just been a bad bottle.

Mine was the same too, went down the sink. Have another bottle so will try that see if it is the same.

It's the biggest problem with Irish beers. Consistency and quality can be so varied.

Guinness Nitro IPA : It was from a plastic cup so cant tell what it really tasted like as it was pre poured and not sure how long it was sitting there in the sun.
Cost $11.50 so only 1 was had. It was a creamy IPA.
They're starting to distribute it in Ireland now (God help us) so you'll be able to have another go before long.

The bottle I had was really nice. No sourness at all.

Was in Clonakility recently and picked up 2 bottles in offie from a new brewery Clonakility Brewing Company

    - Smuggler - Porter , think it was 6%. Very nice beer.
    - Tojo - 5.5% Pale Ale, but to be honest, to my palate it tasted more IPA, not that it was a bad thing, in fact it was a good thing. Very nice beer.

Will be re-visiting both of them

    Bonator by Klosterbrauerei Weissenohe
8.2% Doppelbock. Nectar from the Gods, really liked this

Hope Peach and Blueberry Sour. You need to drink at least half a bottle to get the full effect. Wondering what others made of it.

Had a good run at the Mescan range earlier in the year and didn't find them sour. Liked them.

A couple of pints of Yellow Belly G'wan IPA and can of Bloody Notorious.

Both delicious but now I feel I'm slightly too drunk for this time of the day!

Anyone try Guinness Rye Pale Ale? Just noticed them on sale in Dunnes. 4 for €9 or €10, or €3-something each.

There's a bad review a page or two back there somewhere.

Cafe 24 Brune, lovely strong Belgian brune style, malty, hit of chocolate and smooth as you like.

Aldi got in a load of Harpers brewing company beers. Never heard of them, US Brewery apparently, from Michigan.
Picked up a handful. Having an 'Amber stone' at the mo. A rubbery amber lager, tastes like a shepherd's neame beers . Bad start but still keeping the faith.

It's not that Harpers, it's an Aldi contract brand brewed by Marstons in the UK. So they're more that likely ****e.

I liked it! I tend to like the rye beers. Its not as good as DOT Brewing's session Rye Pale Ale or Rustbucket but it's still pretty decent.

Just had a Wicklow Wolf American Amber with my dinner. I had it once before and wasn't blown away but said I'd try it again and in glad I did.
    A really tasty beer. :)
